Orland Eye

If I could give zero stars, I would give it for this location.... I made two appointments here and both times we were misinformed from the staff.... The first one was we made an appointment at 2 o'clock and when we arrive, they said your appointment was at 12:30. You missed it... We rescheduled a week later and then they said we don't take that insurance anymore after they told us they do accept it over the phone... This place is such a waste of time and effort... The staff is very puzzled. They don't know what to do...

I've been coming here for nearly 20 years now. and have always received wonderful service! I came here as a child with my family, and still make the drive out to Orland from NW Indiana for this place! They treat me like their own family and still recognize me when I walk through the door for my annual check ups. Great place to trust your eyes to!

It's been a month since I went to Orland Eye for a new pair of glasses. It was my first time with them and I am sure it won't be the last because I am very satisfied with my purchase and I received an excellent, professional and honest-to-the-customer service. So what makes Orland Eye different (and better) vs other vision care businesses in the area? well for me there were two things that made the difference: First is about the support that the staff gave me, the comments and suggestions helped me a lot to decide on what frame to get. I usually take hrs to make that decision and waste a lot of time trying and comparing a lot of different models and brands. This time I made my decision faster and with confidence, thanks to the help of the staff who kindly gave me their opinion not once but several times. Honestly I have never received comments and suggestions from the staff of any eye-care business before as I did at Orland Eye, (thank you again). For the record, my girlfriend told me it was a good decision. Second. The cost. I used the same insurance package I had 2 years ago when I bought my last pair of glasses in another place here in Tinley Park. Back then I had to put money out of my pocket to cover the bill. This time the insurance covered it all and I got a better frame. In general it was a very good experience. The vision test and installations are fine... so in conclusion I think I found my go-to place for anything related to vision care! ... special thanks to Gloria Docherty (Optometrist) who was working there on her birthday, taking care of her locally owned business.

Do not come here for a Kindergarten eye exam..the doctor, who was not nice, hardly tried to get what was needed for the exam. The technicians were nice and tried, but the doctor basically shunned us and wouldn't even finish the exam. Very disappointed.

Love Dr. Docherty. Through this pandemic she has remained sanitized,confident, professional and most of all always treats my family like family. Sandy is the best.

The service and eyewear quality were great. But the hours listed in this google search are wrong. Orland Eye is not open on Saturdays (at least right now). Not sure who or how this can be corrected ?
