Bard Optical - Peru

Been a patient for 3+ years now; including my spouse/child. Had both glasses and contact exams done. So I also ordered both contacts and glasses. I got no trial lenses to try after purchasing a years worth of contacts but then had to order the trials 3 weeks after receiving my shipment. Then purchased high end glasses and they stole my cleaning cloth and then tried to tell me it didn't come with one. I contacted the manufacturer of said glasses who confirmed my suspicions. This is under private insurance as well. Completely unreal. Will be filing a complaint with the proper insurance/BBB/etc Unreal and unprofessional.

Bard sucked because they'll tell you they take your insurance but what they really mean is out of network. They'll leave you without an appointment or either pay out of pocket. The receptionist was really nice tho.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! Especially if they have a speech delay! The assistant was great! My 5yr old was so excited to go in for her kindergarten exam! It was an absolute nightmare the minute the eye dr walked in. My daughter has a speech delay and when she is nervous it is worse. If I tried to translate for her he would tell me he understood which he didn't. Then when showing the letter E my daughter attempted to use her finger to draw the letter E in the air to show she could see it. This man grabbed both her hands jammed them together and started shaking her out of frustration saying we are not drawing lines no more! I could see her lip quivering bc he scared her. I immediately got up and took my daughter from the chair and told him he is not to touch my child like that. He should not be working w children with his behavior! He stated "I grabbed her hands so she wouldn't touch my expensive equipment". We were in there 15mins and not once did she even attempt to. She was trying to communicate the letter while calmly seated and he SHOOK her!!! Unacceptable and unbelievable! My daughter who was so excited for this appointment walked out bawling and now I have to find someone else to do her kindergarten exam! I sure hope they DO NOT BILL MY INSURANCE ALSO! The elderly tall man should be ashamed of himself!

all of the times i've gone here, with and without insurance, have always cost $350ish out of pocket. idk if that's the norm with my insurance or not but i've heard coworkers geting their checkups and frames from other places for $100 or less. also they refused to give me my prescription numbers when i asked if i could buy my glasses online. that being said i got good service from most of the workers

Just moved out here from Aurora, absolutely love it. My first time going, all the ladies that helped me was extremely nice. I finally got told I have astigmatism, and mild lazy eye, very quick, very professional, VERY nice. Made me feel super comfortable! Can't wait to receive my new glasses. Update!! I received my glasses early! And they are the best ones I've ever gotten, she made sure and got my prescription exactly how my eyes are! I love them, they're extremely comfortable.

Was kind of nervous haven't been to the eye doctor in a couple years but staff was friendly, eye doctor nice and helpful very nice atmosphere, helped me pick out the perfect frames!!

Took both my kids and myself and was very happy with their services. Very Friendly and helpful staff! An all around great experience. I would recommend. The wait is long to get in but honestly seems like that is everywhere anymore. Keep up the good work and thank u for great hospitality!

Made the switch here a few months ago and have been very happy with it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Broke my glasses last week and they got me in very quick. Derek helped me today and was very pleasant. Dr was great as well. Took his time and explained things in detail.
