I drive 30 miles to use this store as opposed to the store in Mt Vernon. They are fast and friendly. They seem to actually care about the patient. I've never been there longer than an hour,in Mt Vernon I was always there for at least 3 hours and it would take 6 weeks to receive my glasses,in Salem they arrived in approximately 2 weeks I highly recommend them

Very thorough check up and then a follow up re-check. The doctor and staff took their time to make sure I was getting the best service and accurate prescription. Everyone was very professional and friendly.

The staff were friendly and attentative. Were punctual with my appointment and smoothly moved through process.

The eye exam was bog standard but well executed and done quickly. The glasses haven't arrived yet and won't happen for another week. I dropped one star for pricing. The whole thing priced out at approx. $700. I find it a bit difficult to grasp why injection molded raw lenses that contain less than $3 of plastic need to be so high. Update 11-14-2025: I've reduced my rating from 4 stars to 1 star. It's been nearly 6 weeks since the original appointment and I STILL don't have my glasses. Here's what's happened... First pickup attempt revealed massive distortions in my near vision such that I wouldn't be able to work. I wear progressive lenses and any time I would look thru the progressive portion of the lenses everything shifted inward into a double image. Staff reaction? "We can just refund you." ANY objection was met with that same response. What MEDICAL office does that?!? Scheduled appointment for Doctor to review prescription. Doctor's review showed she had done her job perfectly. Prescription was exact and lenses matched prescription. Doctor and I discussed what I was seeing. She then had her staff person check pupil distance (PD). Completely wrong. Her exact words were, "That's way different from what I wrote down." A difference she would have caught if she had simply checked her work at the first pickup attempt. On Tuesday it will be another 3 weeks since the first pickup attempt. That's 6 weeks from the original appointment. I called yesterday only to be told my glasses will SHIP on the 18th of November; exactly on the 6 week mark. When I requested they each out to the lab to expedite shipment, I was also told, yet again, "We can refund you and just keep the glasses." Sandy, the woman who usually answers the phone, is obviously a bully and doesn't care about her negative impact on the business. In turn, Sandy's bullying tactics and general air of infallibility has rubbed off onto the front office staff creating an atmosphere of contempt for an patient who disagree with them. I will be calling the main eye center and having a discussion with ownership about how poorly the front office staff at Salem treat patients. Conclusion: Doctor did a Five Star job. Front office staff deserves ZERO Stars. I have to lower my recommendation from "Do not recommend" to "NEVER go to this office."

The staff are friendly and will help with your questions. Over the years I have been happy and still come back.

Really enjoyed the secretary.She calls you by name when you walk in and she helps with almost everything.She's a very hard worker tries to keep her ducks in a row i'm sorry, I don't remember her name but she is a very sweet gal

I tried a different doctor and absolutely LOVED her. I would recommend Dr Brazel to everyone!! She was very persononable and quick. She gave great advice when I said I wanted no bifocals. U can see she cares about her patients I almost forgot to tell about the lady that did my pre exam, Sara. She was wonderful. She made me feel comfortable by just being down to earth and very attentive to whatever I said. I have been here many times and I have to Rave about the other Sarah in the office. She is always so bubbly and helpful!!!

The Dr was very nice and explained things. Staff all very friendly. The lady who helped me with picking out my frames and lenses was amazing and not pushy. Definitely recommend.
