Went in for a routine eye exam and was impressed by the timeliness of the office in general. Everyone I met with, from the technician, nurse, and doctor were professional, courteous, caring, and on time. The office runs like a well oiled machine.
My exam was thorough and Dr.Cohen spent a reasonable amount of time with me. He was descriptive during the eye exam and put my mind at ease by explaining as he was conducting the exam. He has a great demeanor.
I recommend Dr.Cohen and Illinois Retina Associates

Always recommends conservative treatment first with no pressure. Amazing bedside manner, compassion and follow up. He is not my doctor. He is my father's. But I take my dad every month to his appointments. He loves this doctor, why we drive out so far to see him. My father gets a shot in his eye for wet AMD every 7weeks. He says of all the doctors he has been to get the shot in his eye. This doctor has the magic touch. The shot doesn't hurt . I have spoken with Dr Cohen, he is very friendly and personable. Great sense of humor and very knowledgeable about my father's condition.

The people at Illinois Retina Associates were extremely curious and helpful.
Even though the office on the day of my appointment was extremely crowded, they were able to process patients efficiently from station to station and at all times discussing the "check-up" process involved, whether an eye-chart tests, eye drops, current status of any issues (floaters, eye irritation issues, etc.). Doctor Cohen in particular, was very chill and very informative in dealing with each individual. An extremely professional group!

Jack Cohen, FACS, MD, is a nationally recognized expert in the medical and surgical treatment of vitreoretinal disease and injury. He has special interest in treating macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinopathy of prematurity. What's more, Dr. Cohen is one of only a handful of retina specialists in the United States who has expertise in ocular oncology.
