Drs. Cripe Stephens & Stickel

I called before my appointment as I had new insurance and they said they accepted well after my appointment come to find out my insurance was not accepted there. They took responsibility for the miscommunication and voided my exam balance but still gave me my prescription. Dr. McGuire was amazing! I had to bring my baby with me and she was so kind and patient with us! Highly recommend!

LOVE Dr Mcguire and my family has been patients for 15+ years and if it wasn't for that specific valued care and relationship, there'd be no reason to choose this office. Growing very tired of the front office inconsistencies, snappy conversations among employees vs the employees and patient interactions,employee turnover constantly, phone etiquette, follow through on order glasses/contacts,etc. It be suggested individuals have specific job duties so they know their role in office and a balance of being cross trained, systems in place to run efficiently and with utmost care. For starters. The people that is put in place is a reflection of the office as a whole. This is getting ridiculous. Please...pleading... get it together!!

I absolutely love Dr. Stickel. I've been going to him for many years. He provides incredible care and is very kind and compassionate. There have been some significant difficulties dealing with office staff this year. I spoke with his office manager, Katharine, who asked Dr. Stickel to also call me. They were understanding and worked to address my concerns. I thought I would be leaving this practice, but after my conversation with Dr. Stickel, I have decided to stay at a provider that I have used for many years

if I could give them negative stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE!! I went in November to get my glasses... we are now on Jan 16 and they called me to tell me that they need me to go back and do another eye exam. apparently the lady that worked there and helped me is no longer there and they dropped the ball. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. not only did I pay for everything in cash.. there was NO APOLOGY GIVEN!!!

Dr. Stickel was great. However when it was time to order glasses, the office ordered the wrong size, not once, but twice. When we went back the third time, the frames were not even the ones my dad had selected. The person helping us that time admitted those frames were incorrect. We asked to please change the phone number in file since we changed phone numbers. She claimed she did. Sure enough... it didn't happened. I had to call 3 weeks later to ask on an update and another lady told me those were the glasses and they were had been sitting there for 3 weeks. I tried to explain what happened but she didn't listen. I asked if the frames were not to be ordered, could I at least get my money back. She said she was going to have the office manager call me the next day. Big surprise, the manager never called and my phone number was stilled NOT changed. I had to call once more and ask to speak to the manager. The manager admitted to the frames being ordered incorrectly twice and the phone numbers not being changed twice as well. However she claimed the third time the frames were ordered, the frames were ordered correctly. I'm not a betting person, but if I have to bet, I would bet the place that did 4 mistakes already probably made 5 mistakes. She also told me the frames that were ordered the second time were ordered at their cost. She said it as if it was favor to me... sorry you are not doing me any favors correcting your mistake. The office manager also said she spoke to Dr Stickel and he said to give my money back, but if I took it, I could not return. I must say I'm very disappointed at Dr. Stickel if this is true. He is a great doctor, but his office staff needs a lot better people skills. Even before all this happened and we were choosing glasses in the beginning, they treated as if we were an inconvenience to them. I'm not saying kiss my feet, but please don't talk down on a person. I hope the the office staff change their attitude or that Dr. Stickel sees what is happening before clientele starts going somewhere else. I am also looking forward to seeing my check on the mail soon.

The optometrist is wonderful, but that's about it. It is difficult to get a timely appointment. They rarely have weekend appointments available. My son has glasses that were purchased here. They broke at the arm. They are NIKE glasses, and are supposed to have a 2 year warranty on the frames. The office would not honor the warranty on them past a year. Nike said the office has to process the claim to fix them. So now I'm stuck with paying for the repair.

My daughter and I recently saw Dr. McGuire and I was thrilled with the care we received. She did great with my daughter who is fairly young, and was very patient in answering any and all questions that I had pertaining to our care. She took her time to carefully and accurately make her assessments and had a great & positive demeanor. 10/10 would recommend!
