Pearle Vision

I came here for the first time last year, had an eye exam done and ordered glasses. When I got the glasses, they did not seem to work right (I got headaches and could not read street signs, had distorted vision looking at my computer screen, etc.) I wore them for a few weeks to see if my eyes would adjust, which they did not. When I went in to get them fixed, they sent them back to be re-made without doing another vision test to check if the prescription was right in the first place. When the new pair came in, surprise - I had the same issue with them. I came in to get them fixed on two separate occasions after that and not once did they re-check my vision to make sure they had prescribed me the right glasses. Instead, they remade them with different materials in the lenses as a trial-and-error to see if it would help. Finally, I went for a second opinion at a different eye doctor who gave me a prescription that was actually accurate but SO far off from the prescription I'd been wearing from Pearle Vision that they said they could not give me the correct prescription without causing additional headaches and straining as my eyes had been trying to adjust to the incorrect prescription for so long. So we've had to transition back to the correct lenses in two phases, gradually letting my eyes adjust back to where they need to be. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend this eye doctor. Even though the staff were always very kind, the bare minimum you should be able to do as an eye doctor is get a prescription right.

The only reason I am rating 2 stars is because the eye doctor I saw was very good. My bad experience was solely with the staff selling glasses at the front of the store. They were far more interested in pressuring me to get 2 pairs of glasses than anything else. They seemed to have no understanding of how vision insurance works or were blatantly lying to me to make more money. I will not be coming back here. I left with my prescription and my husband and I both got glasses online, not using our insurance, for less than 1 pair cost at Pearle Vision with our insurance. We both were covered by 2 insurance plans so make it make sense how we had basically no benefits... The staff can only tell you to "pick cheaper frames" if it costs too much, but no frames have any pricing on them anywhere so all you can do is guess what would be cheaper.

Quick and friendly at the same damn time! I was in and out within 20 minutes. Right after the exam the tech went for glasses that matched the ones I already have and before I could judge them another pair was on the way! They know their stuff and even have glass lenses! Not recommended however due to safety concerns.

Takes to long to get my son's glasses. We were told 7 to 10 days. Its been 21 days!!!! First time I called they said they would call me back tomorrow and never did. 2nd time they said Tuesday....that was a week ago. Never again. Terrible service.

The optometrist was the most personable optometrist I've ever had. Very kind and explained everything in a way that was easily understandable. I was a little underwhelmed with the glasses selection available though.

Very thorough exam. Doctor and sales were very courtious and answered all my questions. Quick and friendly service.

Everyone was so nice, helpful, and patient. Had me in and out but didn't feel rushed. Was a great experience.
