I like Courtney as an eye doctor, but the company and front office staff are something else. I received multiple texts and phone calls on the day of my appointment and they even called my emergency contact all to "confirm" my appointment. I was at work and unable to respond to their phone calls. I did try to text back and confirm, but was informed that because it was less than 24 hours away that I would need to call the office. I have been going there for 15 years and have never missed an appointment and was told that it was corporate policy because of all the other patients who don't keep their appointments. I asked why they contacted my emergency contact for something that wasn't an emergency and was told I signed a form and it gives them permission to call.

They gave my daughter the wrong frames.The person who helped her didn't write down the glasses on her paper. So they just guessed which ones.My glasses are not right at all. I went in to make sure they fit correctly and pick them up. The lady handed me the glasses and said try them on . Then okay have a nice day. The eye test was not even 10 minutes long. Depends on your insurance to how you are treated.

I did not have a good experience here because of the billing and support staff. i received a letter saying I had to pay $70 more than what I was told and I was not made aware that they could charge me more later. I wouldn't have purchased from here had I known the price upfront. I attempted to call their billing support and got nothing. When I went in all they said was that insurance didn't cover as much as they thought so I ended up paying way more and I couldn't afford it. They didn't offer any way to mitigate the financial stress it caused me and they didn't try to help me.

Placed on order for glasses on December 23 because i had a Medicaid prepaid spending card with $500 on it that was going to expire. Place the order with a new employee. Who I don't think was fully trained others in the office kept helping her. I picked out the glasses knowing they were a little more expensive than my previous orders. Was told I owe $260 so I placed the order and because I had money left on the card I also ordered sunglasses for $89. When I went to pick up the glasses, I was told I had a balance of almost $400. I was in a hurry and needed the glasses. so I paid thinking we would sort it out later. So I asked for a phone call from the manager ,after many phone calls and told the manager was always in a meeting. and stopping by the office. She's still in a meeting. Finally, I was given a credit back of $115. when my insurance came back, my out-of-pocket should've been $487. So my glasses would have been paid for with my spending card. And I could have paid the extra for the sunglasses. I did Finally received a phone call from the office manager on February 20. so almost a full month after this started . if I can give negative stars I would. I've been very disappointed in their office staff, but I've always been happy with Dr. Unger.

The entire team at this Midwest location is nothing short of AMAZING! They have met every need of mine in a very timely manner. The previous issues I had with my contacts were fixed by the Dr on the first try! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with positivity. Love this office and won't be going anywhere else!

The office puts a lot of personalization with patients. Always feel like I'm the most important patient, from office staff to Doctor that they have at that moment. Doesn't matter how many patients, we all get the same care!

I had a great experience here. All of the staff were the most friendly and professional experience I've ever had in an office. I will be doing all of my eye care here from now on! The front desk receptionist was very kind and the receptionist in optical was very good with helping select frames and lenses. Dr.Mcdermott did a fantastic job of helping me understand all that I need to be doing differently and all of my care. I will recommend this office to everyone!

Everyone at Midwest Eye Consultants is so friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Unger has more energy than the energizing bunny! He makes you feel like you are the only patient he has! I have been going there for 10+ years and intend to go until I'm no longer here! Hats off to the staff!!
