Preferred Eye Care - Kokomo

I went to have a exam and get new glassed and Dr.Andrew Burkhart, O.D. was excellent at his job easy to work with very good at his position, BUT. I had my eye fitting with staff and seamed well organized. So, I had my glasses made. They called me to pick up my glasses, and I went to get them. I put them on, and I could not see innless I raised my head to see. so instead of properly fixing them they smashed my nosepiece so it sits on my forehead "I failed to mention they were my frames" so I ask her to please could you just fix the lens properly and she told me they I was not seeing threw them right, lol. so, it upset me, so I had my frames adjust right back to normal. So, I explained at my next appointment about the situation to the Dr. and the staff and they would not fix the issues and charging me fill price for a new set of lenses, NOT EVEN A DISCOUT! So, I will NEVER go to that place again, and be careful, don't let them fool you into excepting useless lens and they will. The crazy thing was the lady sad I was seeing out of them wrong WHAT! They said they have a time frame to fix and the day I picked them up was the same day I told them it was wrong. Just don't be stupid and waste your money or time. With insurance and out of pocket it was nearly a $1000. Watch out don't make the same mistake. Bless you and good luck.

It was an overall great experience. It was clean and organized. The wait was a little longer than expected but they were busy so it was understandable!

Staff and Dr. Kirby were friendly, helpful and did a great job.

Doctor is friendly. However the front desk woman is not competent enough to do her job. Also very rude and disrespectful. We took our whole family from this practice as they tried to steal almost $300. Glasses were prescribed that was not needed and when they could not get insurance to cover them. They never contacted me, I'm guessing in hopes I would forget. I had to fight over 2 months to get my money back. I would not recommend going here. Go somewhere else that actually respects their customers.

UPDATE: I have emailed my contact info twice in response to their below message. You can imagine how I feel that I have yet to be contacted. I felt like the eye doctor provided very good care. However, an issue arose with my husband's new glasses, and no one wanted to address how to correct the issue. I have referred others to this practice but will no longer do so.

Looking through the reviews I notice my review is missing. Was told before that someone from there would be reaching out but clearly that did not happen. Dr. Burkhart was great in all aspects, but unfortunately the customer service received up front was not good. Took care of my wifes glasses that we paid approx. 700.00 dollars for. Then I told them I did not want new frames just lenses and then found out a month later that they were never ordered. Originally we were told wife's glasses was going to be 1100.00 but it got changed when we finally able to pay the bill. Tell me how I can pay 93.00 for the exams for myself and then nothing else happens. Since I was told someone would reach out but hasn't just tells me that you want the money but can't take care of the customers and make them feel like they are spending hundreds of dollars at your location.

I was recommended by a family member and was not disappointed! The staff here are all so friendly and personable. They have a great knack for treating you like a friend while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. Dr. Burkhart really took the time to explain things in a way that was easy to understand and made sure all concerns were addressed. Also, they had a huge selection of frames to choose from!
