Dubuque Family Eye Care

From start to finish, I had a great exam with the tech, using up to date equipment (no drops in my eyes)!! Yea!! And Dr. Hodne did a wonderful job explaining things and gave me some good information about my progressing cataracts. Then they helped me pick out some cute new frames. Thank you Dubuque Eye Care Clinic!!

I took my three daughters to Dubuque Family Eye Clinic and we had a really great experience. The entire staff was absolutely amazing, and the doctor was incredibly kind and patient with my girls. I highly recommend this clinic for children. We chose to do the picture of the eye instead of using dilating drops, and it made the appointment so much easier for my daughters. Everyone took their time, explained everything, and treated us with such care and kindness. We will definitely be coming back!

I have been going here since 2012 and always recommend them. Dr. Lester and Dr. Hodne are amazing and take their time during the exam to explain everything. The office is beautiful and there is a great selection of frame styles. They also have all state of the art equipment and provide a very thorough exam. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Dr Kim was super friendly, helpful and nice. Loved not having to get my eyes dilated. It was pricey for the exam, bit of a sticker shock, my fault for not asking before booking. I was happy to get appointment fast since I was in need of contacts.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Everyone was friendly and professional, and the office was clean and modern. Dr. Lester was thorough, explained everything clearly, and made the exam stress free. Great selection of glasses too! Highly recommend! Very energetic and positive staff! First time. New patient. Stopped in for work safety glasses late in the afternoon. All positive. Met at the door with a smile. Technician was pleasant, professional, and easy to work with. She had a great rapport, was well traveled, and positively represents the business. I wish I had retained her name to recognize her properly.

Their selection of frames is the bomb! Just so many and they're so varied. There's something there literally for any and every one. Their prices R a bit higher than some other places, but, with glasses, I feel that U get what U pay for. I really love their frame selections. They even have some amazing eclectic ones and some fun, funky colorful ones, both definitely choices that not 2 many places have and offer in Dubuque.

They continued to submit bills to my medical insurance rather than to my eye insurance multiple times which cost me over $600 out of pocket. I feel like they are simply trying to squeeze every penny out of you. I went to a different provider in Dubuque and nothing was billed to my medical insurance. They also charge you for your pupillary distance to make it harder for you to purchase glasses online rather than their overpriced frames. My new provider did not charge me. Their staff is friendly, but when you call many times it goes to voicemail, and it took days for them to reply.
