My mother had cataract surgery this past Wednesday and is scheduled for her other eye this Wednesday. Dr. Jansen performed her surgery. If anyone is looking for a provider for cataract removal, he is the person to go to. He has a very nice calming personality and demeanor. He said she wouldn't see or feel anything during the procedure, and he was true to his word. Highly recommended

My experiences with Dr Justin Risma have been nothing but perfect. He is so thorough and detailed. I went in for cataract surgery but because one eye had a stigmatism he went to all lengths to correct it. First a detailed prep by smoothing the retina (pain free), followed by 6 months of drops. By then my eye was ready for a new cataract. It went absolutely perfectly. I have 20/20 vision, I no longer need glasses. I couldn't be happier to be given the gift of perfect vision. I'm in my late 70's, so never too late. The entire procedure was pain free!!!! Thank you Dr. Risma!!!!

Dr Risma did a fabulous job removing my father's cataracts! My wife and I own Baymeadows Vision Center in Jacksonville, FL, and have a few cataract surgeons we recommend. If Dr Risma lived in our area, we would refer all cataract surgeries to him. Thank you for helping my Dad!!!

I recently saw Dr. Hunter Fuerste for a routine eye exam. I was extremely satisfied with his thoroughness and professionalism! He took his time with the exam and was friendly and courteous. I had a yearly appointment today and the staff were really quick and nice. The technician Kevin, he was really quick and helpful with my eye drops. He gave me instructions through the whole appointment. 5 out of 5 for the staff and for the atmosphere. I do highly recommend people going here for those who are new to Dubuque.

Dr. Justin Risma performed cataract surgery on my husband. He was very thorough explaining the options for lenses prior to the surgery. Both surgeries went flawless. He had my husband come to visit him the afternoon after each surgery to make sure everything was going as expected. We were very impressed that the next day after each surgery Dr. Risma called my husband personally to ask how he was and to make sure he answered any questions that may have come up. My husband just completed his one month follow-up appointment and was tested and did not need glasses even for reading. We would highly recommend Dr. Risma if you are considering cataract surgery or need a caring eye doctor for any other needs.

I've had to wear glasses since 4th grade. At 73 years old, I've had the opportunity to visit many eye care specialists, but none more caring and professional than Dr. Hunter Fuerste. His concern and attention to every eye care need makes him in my mind, one of the best. I've never left the Fuerste Clinic with a problem, or unanswered question. In addition to the professional eye care, the optical department is top notch as well . The entire team at Fuerste Eye Clinic are very knowledgeable, experts, caring, and understanding.

The best! My doctor is Dr. Janson and he is wonderful. I've recently had cataract surgery and photocoagulation done. He is so skilled and knowledgeable. I trust him.
