Kessler Eye Care

I decided to go to a place closer to home and I wish I didn't go here. The optometrist I saw, Dr. Gupta was very condescending and rude. She was visibly and audibly frustrated with me almost the entire exam when I was being pleasant. She was mad that I didn't know the exact amount of hours I wore my contacts and was getting very short and snippy. She also informed me (very rudely) that I was cleaning my contacts wrong treating me like I was an idiot. I have been wearing contacts for over 12 years without issue. I get if you want to relay information to a patient but you don't need to degrade and belittle them, but rather take the opportunity to gently correct them. She also was rushing through the exam and I was very confused on what numbers she was saying and she made me pick one even if they looked the same. It was a very frustrating experience and she needs to work on her bedside manner and patience with patients. I'm also not sure she got the correct prescription strength for me. They're also closing this office from what I overheard the front desk say to another patient .... So l'm overall very confused but won't be back to see Dr. Gupta even if the office did open up again.

I had an EMERGENCY eye infection and had called around a handful of places that couldn't get me in for hours. I called here and they told me to come right in and they squeezed me in between Dr. Brown's appointments. I am so thankful for Dr. Brown and her team, my eye is already feeling better and I'll be coming back to get a complete eye exam in the coming weeks. The office was easy to access, clean and everyone working there was very friendly and understanding.

I went her as a new patient and felt welcomed. As soon as I came through the door I was greeted with a warm hello and smile by the front desk. As soon as I was done with the paperwork they got me back and started the exam. Dr Kessler came in and was so friendly and made me feel like I had known him for years not just seconds. He was completely honest with me and never tried to up sell me on anything. After my appointment the front desk was still so friendly in helping me checkout gave me my eyeglass prescription and they set me up for a two week follow up with Dr Kessler. I will definitely be back. Doctor and staff are amazing and made you feel like family. Great job today!!!

My husband and I went in to get our eyes checked in February to get our eyes checked and get new prescriptions. We were not sure if our regular Optometrist was open yet. So, we decided to try a place closer to home. The staff had issues with our insurance but we continued on. We both got our eyes examined and as we were having issues with the eyeglass company in front of their storefront, we wanted to be sure our prescription was filled correctly. My sunglasses were hurting my right eye and my husbands glasses were giving him headaches we were told to keep wearing the glasses and our brains would adjust. After two weeks of trying that, still no luck . We finally saw Dr Kessler in Miriam and were told by him we were "wasting his time". As of July we still did not have a new prescription that worked for us. We wasted our insurance benefit on this group. Yesterday we went to another Optometrist to pay for another eye exam to purchase glasses that would work for us. So far so good. I now know who's time was really wasted.

I have not been able to see the computer monitor for years. The last prescription I got from another eye care center was so bad the lower bifocal was the only thing useful. I saw Dr. Brown who got the prescription right the first time. She prescribed exactly what I need for work. Dr. Brown told me to come back if the prescription was not working for me and she would redo it for free. No more eye and neck strain from looking up all the time. I am very pleased with the service and staff.

I cannot thank this doctor enough. 3 months ago, I was diagnosed with a condition that had a side effect of changing my vision. Really scary situation, but she was so great. She made great recommendations and set me up with some short term solutions at no cost until I could get checked again in three months. Just had that visit and SO happy to say things have returned to normal. Quick, easy, and professional staff, but so caring and helpful. WAY more than the average optometrist.

Arguably the most poorly ran eye doctor location ever. They screwed up my name, my phone number etc they didn't have my contact prescription. They told me "you didn't let us know how they felt so,we got rid of your contact prescription, that's our policy" I was never informed that if I didn't tell them how the contacts fit that I would be voided my contract prescription, they also refused to print off my glasses prescription for me so I could go next door and buy glasses. Easily the most unprofessional, unorganized and rude company.. the lady would not even acknowledge me when speaking to her at the office.

This is my preferred eye care location because of the friendly staff and the excellent optometrists. They are thorough and explain the results of eye exams clearly.
