Eye Care Associates of Wichita

I have gone here for exams on and off for quite a few years and had no problems. But the last time I went, it was a disappointment. To start with, the doctor said she was going to give me something for my eyelids and something else for my eyes. I had to ask the clerks at the desk for it as she hadn't put it out for me. When I got home, I saw she just gave me part of some samples and both were expired. Moreover, I only got one type of medication - not both. I had to toss them anyway. Then I was told I needed to return in six months. Well, there is no good reason for me to return for at least a year. I have no eye disease. The coup de gras was that I purchased my eyeglasses from their optical department. That was close to a month ago and I have not received my glasses yet. They won't have them for me until next week. At least that's what they said. That will be one month from when I was fitted for them and was told they would be ready in about two weeks. If I don't get them next week, I'll request a refund. My experience might have been a one-off. But it was not a pleasant experience and I don't plan on using their services again. I can't take a chance on this sort of treatment. They are not cheap. If I'm going to pay for something, I expect good service and timely service. My last experience with them was not that. I gave them two stars because the front desk clerks are pleasant and the woman who waited on me was most helpful in selecting my glass frames. If not for them, I would only give one star.

These lovely ppl saved me. Might sound like an exaggeration but none of us knew how I made it in to see them with how bad my eyes are. They got me set up quickly and have ALWAYS been so helpful. When I lost my glasses they helped me w my script to get a new pair even after moving to NY. They have always gone above and beyond in my experiences and I recommend them to all my friends who still live in KS. My glasses were so durable they've been my backup pair even when I upgraded. I got my glasses in 2020. They just broke today at almost the end of 2025. Thank you so much for helping me

I have been going to Eye Care Specialist for many years. They are always friendly, knowledgeable. I have seen several doctors there. I have been very happy with both. Would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for great eye care. Thanks

Not sure who was working in optical around 10 am 10/14/2025. I normally remember unpleasant ppls names. Her attitude sucks. I hope she doesn't treat your customers that come in with such a poor attitude. So sorry that I needed help. She really changed my opinion of y'all. Ew. After reading y'all's reviews that seems like an ongoing issue over there with her. Amanda isn't very helpful either. Dealing w the other staff outside of these two is very pleasant.

I've been going to Eye Care Associates for over 20 years and give them the highest recommendation possible. Recently, I saw Dr. Ryan McCarthy for a possible torn retina. He gave me special attention and referred me to a retina specialist the same day (Dr. Brooke Nesmith @ Vitreo-Retinal Consultants). Dr. McCarthy and Dr. Nesmith's expertise saved my eye and I couldn't be more grateful for them!

Dr. Martin is simply the best. An eye appointment with him makes you feel like you're meeting for a chat with an old friend - he never makes you feel like he's in a rush. Oh, and he's fantastic with kids. Our family won't go anywhere else.

My husband I have been going to Eye Care Associates for several years. They are excellent at what they do, from the Eye Dr to all the staff. If I need an adjustment on my glasses they will get me in and quickly get me out. The women that work at the front desk are very nice and fun to talk with while you wait for your appointment or just a walk in fix. We give the eye Dr a 5 star and all of staff a 5 star. Two years ago I wrote the following: Absolutely Outstanding! My wife and I both are both extremely pleased with Eye Care Associates of Wichita. When you go in, everyone there is super nice, happy to see you and want to make sure you receive the best care possible. We were so happy with Eye Care Associate that we recommended them to my step mom and now she loves them too. I am always confident in the quality of care and advice I receive. TODAY: I still feel the same way. They make it easy and enjoyable to make sure your vision is well cared for. We highly recommend this eye care practice for anyone needing vision correction whether for regular glasses or for computer use or even sunglasses.
