Howard's Optique

My wife and I had been looking for glasses and visited Howard's Optique last week where we met Darryl who assisted us with our glasses. He was very personable and went above and beyond in helping us both. He spent a lot of time making sure we were both happy with our selections and was wonderful to work with. In addition, we had thought it would take a couple of weeks to get our new glasses, but not at Howard's, we had our glasses the same week. We will definitely be returning to this location in the future for all of our eyeglass needs and certainly hope that Darryl is still there because he is the type of person you want in helping you during this type of purchase!

I purchased new frames at Howard's Optical September 22, 2025 and received them about a week later. I returned 3 times to get them adjusted because they were crooked and hit my left cheek but they would always return to the bent position after a day so I traded them in at Howard's Optique for an upcharge in cost for a different pair. When I received them there was a gap between the top of the frame and the lenses which was visually very bothersome. They took them back and said they could fix the issue but when they were ready for pickup, 5 Weeks later, Mark , the owner said they didn't have them ready due to equipment malfunctions. I asked if I could just change to a different frame at their cost less a credit for the frames I already paid for since they couldn't fix them. Mark became pretty agitated and irate as I described all the problems I'd been through over a two month period trying to get glasses. He ended up asking me to step outside and I told him I'd didn't want to go outside as I would be afraid of what would happen and he got in my face and told me to take my best shot and that he would break my nose. I called him a freaking idiot and walked out and he followed me out the door taunting me until I got in my car. Unbelievable customer harassment. I've never been treated so violently in a place of business before. I had been a Howard's customer for forty years but no more. Howard Nordyke, the founder probably turned in his grave when Mark Nordyke took over his trustworthy and customer centric business.

Darrell did an excellent job fixing my glasses and getting my lenses just right. He was professional, efficient, and made sure everything fit perfectly. Great service and attention to detail. I highly recommend him ! A plus will be the Scottish accent.

I am truly impressed by the quality of my glasses and the expertise of Darryl Barker ata Howard's Optique. What a great store and selection. He is truly a professional expert in all things glasses and has a passion for helping people love their purchase, see well and look good while doing it. I walked in and he knew what pair to hand to me. The special lenses I need to do my job as a pilot were no problem for his team to make and they are perfect. Darryl was amazing, had been searching for months for a pair of the new Bugatti shades, Darryl had my back and I left with the new #8, unreal customer service I have never met someone with more knowledge on the luxury glasses market!

We received great service from Darryl. He helped my husband pick out two new frames, not an easy task! I had new lenses put in my existing frames. I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up my glasses, Darryl had thrown in an additional pair of fun sunglasses! Thanks for the great service, we'll be back.
