Dr. Swearingen was so very nice and listened to my problem with binocular double vision. He went above and beyond to get the prisms in both lenses correct. As soon as I put on my glasses with the new prisms in each lense that he prescribe, it worked immediately! Not even having to wear a while to get used to them. Very happy and thankful to him for his persistence to get them as perfect as can be!!!

Proud to carry on the family tradition of his father and uncles, Dr. Swearingen is part of a family of ophthalmologists. A Shreveport native, he earned a degree in zoology from LSU and his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport where he also served a residency in ophthalmology. In 2010, Dr. Swearingen joined WK Eye Institute where he practices comprehensive ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
