Dr. Wyche T. Coleman, III, MD

My husband had cataract surgery about a year ago with Dr. Coleman. He placed multifocal Panoptic lenses and removed cataracts. For the first time in his adult life my husband isn't having to wear glasses. He says it's the best thing ever! We love Dr. Coleman & his staff. They are kind, caring, and very professional. All procedures were thoroughly explained. Dr. Coleman answered all questions & spent time making sure the procedure was understood. We recommend Dr. Coleman to all our family & friends!

In October, 2022 I went to see an ophthalmologist (not Dr. Coleman) as I started having floaters, he said I needed cataract surgery in both eyes but one without floaters was worse. I agreed to surgery and on December 5, 2022 I underwent surgery that went terribly wrong, 2 hours long, could not put lens in, pieces of old lens dropped, eye pressure too high. Followed by 2 appointments to drain fluid from eye and a referral to Dr Coleman to repair the damage. Dr Coleman and his staff took care of me for the next 6 months getting that eye back to normal with a lens. It was a long process but I wouldn't trust anyone else to do what he did. He also sent me to a retina specialist to receive treatment. I had no sight in left eye for 16 days, using over 20 eye drops a day, 8 weeks of prednisone. Needless to say, I was not getting my other eye done anytime soon. Dr Coleman told me that when I was ready, he would take care of it. August 21, 2025, Dr. Coleman performed cataract surgery on my right eye and everything went perfect. Everything about the second surgery was great from pre-op instructions to morning of surgery prep to surgery and after care instructions. Thank you Dr. Coleman and all of your staff!

Cataract Surgery on my 101 year old dad My dad has been scared of this surgery for years. He served throughout WW2 and managed to come out unscathed. As a matter of fact, this cataract surgery would be his first surgery he has ever gone through. His vision was so bad he couldn't see anything but the outlines of faces. Sad but true. Finally, he agreed to go through with the surgery. The staff along with Dr. Coleman could not have been any nicer and competent. They made him feel relaxed and confident that the job would be done correctly. We are now 4 weeks post-surgery, and my dad has 20/20 vision in both eyes. Unbelievable! He is so happy and now looking forward to his 102nd birthday and beyond. Thank you, Dr. Coleman and your team, for making an old man smile again.

I was referred by my doctor to go see an ophthalmologist for eye issues I started experiencing after first going to an optometrist and them not discovering a cause. I sought out Dr. Coleman, due to his good ratings and what appeared to be expert knowledge. The nurse I saw prior to seeing Dr. Coleman was fantastic. She was empathetic and listened to all my concerns and took detailed notes along with the questions she asked. After she talked to me for 30 to 45 minutes, she instilled eye drops to dilate my eyes. Dr. Coleman entered the room after 20 minutes or so and altogether saw me for less than 5 minutes. I have never had a medical professional act in the manner Dr. Coleman did. He glanced at the notes, looked at the pictures they took of my eye, and told me there was nothing wrong. I brought up to him that my eyes never dilated, and he said it didn't matter. He then went on to tell me that if I was unhappy with his determination that I could "find a doctor who is smarter or more knowledgeable." He then told me that if I "go to enough doctors, someone will make up a diagnosis to help me feel better." He did not listen to me or my concerns at all. He just heard that I saw my primary about it and an optometrist and completely dismissed me. He told me all I could do was to "learn to live with it." In response to the issues I was/am having. I drove almost 2 hours from where I live to see him. I would never recommend going to Dr. Coleman based on my experience. I see all these 5 star reviews for him, and I don't know how. I don't know why he treated me the way he did.

Dr. Coleman and his team were a complete God-send to me! As a surgeon myself, I was very weary about undergoing lasik surgery because my livelihood depends on perfect vision. Both before and after surgery, Dr. Coleman and his team explained everything in detail, dealt with my concerns with patience, and took excellent care of me after surgery. As a person who has worn glasses since elementary school, I could not have asked for a better result! I've never seen so well in my entire life! If you're considering lasik surgery in Louisiana or the Arklatex area, Dr. Coleman should be your #1 pick!

Well to start I went in to be evaluated on surgery for extreme farsightednous. I went from machine to machine and then saw dr Coleman. He said he could fix my eyes . I couldn't believe it so I was a self pay because they said my cataracts were not bad enough for insurance to pay . They then. Gave me a breakdown of what it would cost me. I owed 3600 to dr and for 2 pantoptix lenses another 1500 to wk and 300 for anesthesia. I got a certified check for 3600 and hand delivered it to the office on bertkoons they reviewed it signed my receipt and witnessed it. I was not to wear contacts for one week due to eye measurements so I done this. So my glasses were broke I went backbup there to get script for eye glasses because I had just went thru eye exam. I received the wrong prescription for glasses Strike one 2 days prior to surgery I get a phone call and the woman says we made a mistake on BBC what u owe it's not 5400 it's 8400. Now this is after they had told me what time to be there for my left eye. Now I have a signed receipt for oaid in fulll both eyes 5400. Lady said mine was cheaper than my wife's who was 6000 3000 per eye because I paid cash. Then The lady argues with me gets loud and makes me mad. I mean who wouldn't be mad. She says I'll let u talk to my office manager and I said ok I'll let y'all talk to my attorney They then called me and cancelled my surgery because I threatened them with attorney which is my right Beware this ain't nothing but a money making racket I did exactly as instructed And gave them 6000! For my wife's surgery Beware

In January 2020 I had a serious eye injury. Dr Coleman saw me in his office right away. He did a thorough exam and made me feel better by reassuring me. He took his time in explaining my condition and all treatment options. The trauma in my eye has healed tremendously from his care. I recommend Dr Coleman to anyone in need of eye care! He has also done cataract surgery on my husband as well as myself. He has a great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable in his field.

I went in for a consult for laser vision correction last week with Dr Coleman. I had a previous consult from a different provider and was not comfortable with the outcome of that previous consult. Dr. Coleman was very confident and made me feel much more comfortable about the decision. He addressed my concerns and I am scheduled to have the procedure in a couple of weeks. Also I would like to mention that Inka, the surgery coordinator, is also very thorough and did a great job explaining all what is to be expected.
