The staff is very slow they do not work with a sense of urgency. This is my 3rd visit here in the last 3 months. My first visit had to leave due to work and my job doesn't take doctors notes. My second visit I arrived at 9am a lady in front of me said she had arrived at 8am and they hadn't even called her name it was them 12pm. Today is my 3rd visit I arrived at 8am no appointment and it is now 2:24 my name hasn't been called at all in the 6 hours. I've been coming here since 2001 and it's never been this bad as for as wait time appointment or no appointment. Be prepared to sit a whole work shift bring a battery pack because there is no outlets to charge your phone as a matter of fact bring dinner

This is a friend's Eye Dr. They have been so good to him. His first visit took like 4 hours or more. After his initial visit, it has been taking him about an hour 1/2, give or take.
Just be aware of parking in this medical area. This office has only 1 parking space for patients, and it is for Handicapped only. Which is always, always taken when we arrive.
So, I drop him off at the door, then I go just a bit further up north up on the right to the Oschner/LSU complimentary patient parking lot, park in there, then scan their lots QR Code on a sign just left of their deputies booth, sign in with my license plate number and wait for his call. I've learned to take a snack, a drink or two, plenty of busy work and lots of patience with me for his appointments.

The only positive is that all of the staff members we interacted with were very friendly.
First, they canceled my daughter's original appointment 2 days before without calling us. Luckily I had checked MyChart because we live almost 2 hours away.
We went for her rescheduled appointment today. Her appointment time was for 10am, we got there about 10 minutes early like they tell you to. We didn't see the doctor until 12:45. Almost 3 hours past appointment time. Scheduling needs to do a better job because that is beyond ridiculous!
We will ONLY be back if absolutely necessary and that's only because they're the only ophthalmologist that takes our insurance.

I saw 2 Drs here and they were both amazing!! I've been going here for a while now and I would recommend to anyone!! Sometimes there's a lil wait but it's worth it to see a good thorough Dr!! Only I don't like is you have to pay to park!

This is why, in my opinion. This place is considered low rate eye care. Constantly behind, never can be seen in a reasonable time. This was my
third time coming to this clinic. They should clean house. Hire new employees. Open a second location. Oh yes. It was 3:59 on a Friday heard them telling people they were closed . On line it said open until 5:00. Probably why they always say "We backed up".. Please!

This is my first and only visit to this clinic and I was only there to assist my mom after she had eye surgery across the street. First of all it's a unremarkable building with a small driveway crammed between a Marijuana shop and an Asian restaurant with no patient parking available. Inside feels unclean and in need of serious repair, I expected a more sanitary environment for a clinic that provides care for something as important as your eyes. Patients were all trying to squeeze through two narrow hallways surrounded by what I felt was an insane number of doors for such a small building, it's claustrophobic. It was also irritating to wait in one waiting area to be seen then directed to another waiting area and wait to be seen again. Ochsner needs to tear this building down and put the eye clinic in a state of the art facility with parking.

My husband's appointment was at 9AM. We are still here at 10:35 waiting. I wish they would not overbook appointments. Staff is good but they seem to go in and out of the exam rooms with no regard to the patient. I think this could be very distracting to the doctors and patients.
