I've been a patient for years and this establishment (from Admin Staff to Doctors) is awesome! A special "thanks" to Danielle whos customer service is always above and beyond. Keep up the excellent work!
Can't believe the bad review for this practice. Yes, sometimes the wait is a little long, but I want them to be thorough about my eye care. I love the staff here. They are friendly and pleasant, always! The drs are nice and upfront, always. I would give them nothing less than 5 stars. They have been very good to me on every visit and have taken very good care of me and my eyesight.
When calling to schedule an appointment, the first question they asked was, how will you pay as opposed to scheduling an interview. This approach appears insensitive and uncaring. When I expressed my reaction to being asked about how I would pay, the person answering the call, hung up the telephone. I was not rude nor did I use any foul language or say anything offensive. Which is more important to this practice: patient care or money? Makes me wonder. So glad there are other eye doctors nearby.
I was given a copy of my prescription for glasses and the Pupillary Distance (PD) was left off the prescription. I called to ask if they can give me the PD so I can order new glasses and I was told they could not give me the PD because it's a liability. The day I went in for my eye exam the optical department was closed, so I was unable to look at and order glasses. It is difficult for me to get off of work so I was unable to go back to the office to order glasses. I have used other eye places in the past and the PD was included on my prescription. I have chronic health issues that are effecting my eye sight and I need that information to get updated eye glasses. I will not be returning to this office again. What was the purpose of me getting an eye exam if all the information for my new glasses wasn't put on the prescription.
I have been going to them for years, but they definitely need to MODERNIZE their entire operation, from appointment scheduling, to billing, getting prescription refills, etc. It does not make sense in the year 2025, that you go to a web site, click 'schedule an appointment', and it shows you a PHONE NUMBER to call instead of letting you book an appointment online. People don't 'call in' to make appointments anymore. This place has a ton of qualified doctors, lots of patients, is making a TON of money, so there is no reason not to spend a little of it on having a web portal that is appropriate for the year 2025
There's a single phone number that is a completed BOTTLE NECK with long waits, phone options that lead to 'dead extensions' nobody answers, etc. I called to try to get a prescription refill, and the phone prompt sends you to a dead extension to a voice mail box nobody answers or responds to. So I had to call again, and select the option to 'make an appointment' just to get to a human: I had to wait 15 minutes in a 'queue' then when somebody finally answered, I was immediately put on hold again for another 5 minutes. The person also had tons of distractions going on, lots background noise, one of those "I'm so aggravated" voices, and a very snippy/snappy attitude: There is no REASON for customers to have to go through this if you use a MODERNIZED web site where customers can book their own appointments, send in prescription refill requests, update their insurance and pharmacy, pay their bill, etc all on line. There is no reason to even have a WEB SITE up if all it does is tell everybody to call a single phone number: There is also no need for a phone 'menu' where all the options lead to the same 2-3 at the front desk answering phones.
The QUALITY of care I get here is great, but their operations and technology look like something from 1985, not 2025. People don't 'wait' 15-20 minutes on a phone just to refill a prescription or set an appoint anymore: They go to a web portal or app, click a few buttons, and go on their Merry way. It is really time for this to UPGRADE and MODERNIZE.
Had an appointment scheduled by my wife. I quickly got a call while at work from the scheduling coordinator who refused to send me an email confirmation with my appointment details. I asked again, if she seriously cannot provide an email with the details of the appointment and with a rude tone replied "No I cannot" to which I requested to cancel my appointment and with a happy tone she replied "Okay" and hung up.
The services with the staff and doctor were great. The surgery scheduling staff is horrible. I have called numerous times and left a voicemail and no one called me back. They need to fire that staff and hire people that want to do the job
This is an outstanding practice. The remodeled waiting areas are comfortable, the staff is friendly and professional, and the doctors are top notch. My family has seen Dr. Telahun and Dr. Rivera and they are both excellent doctors. The office has modern equipment used for advanced diagnoses of eye issues and they can treat rare eye problems. I highly recommend this practice!
