I am writing to share concerns regarding my recent visit. First, I waited over 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before being seen. I then was called to the back and placed in another waiting area where I waiting more than 15 minutes there. I intentionally arrived an hour early to browse eyewear and allow ample time, yet my appointment still started significantly late. I understand delays can happen, but the lack of communication about the delay was disappointing. Second, I was not provided with trial contact lenses at the conclusion of my exam. I was informed they would be mailed. While I happened to be in the area a few days later and stopped in to inquire, I was told the trials were behind the counter and that I had been contacted via text three days prior. I did not receive any text notification. I was then informed that the office is transitioning to a new system and that this may have caused the issue. This was frustrating, as I had been waiting without clarity. Lastly, I requested a signed copy of my prescription on the day of my exam and later realized it was not signed. When I returned, I was initially told I would need to retrieve a signed copy online. Another staff member then informed me I would need to wait until the provider completed their current appointment, which I understood. However, when another patient was taken back before my signed copy was addressed, it felt dismissive of my time and request. I value professionalism and clear communication, and this experience did not reflect the standard of care I anticipated. I would appreciate follow-up regarding how these concerns will be addressed moving forward. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I had a really positive experience at this MyEyeDr location. The office was clean, my check-in process was smooth, and the doctor was thorough and took the time to answer my questions. I appreciated that everything moved efficiently without feeling rushed, and the staff overall seemed organized and attentive. I especially want to highlight Alejandro, who helped me with my eye glasses and contacts after my exam. He was incredibly professional, patient and kind, explaining my options clearly and making sure I was comfortable with what I was choosing. He never made me feel pressured - instead, he walked me through everything in a respectful and professional way. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared that I left happy and confident with my purchase. Just wanted to share my experience because Alejandro provided great customer service, and I really appreciate the care he showed. P.S. he told me to have a nice day !

I found it easy and efficient to book my appointment online, which was a great start. However, I was a bit disappointed with the front desk staff. I hadn't been here in three years and had new insurance, but they initially refused to update my insurance information because there was already one on file, even though it was outdated. Thankfully, after bringing in the manager, the issue was quickly resolved. The eye exam itself was quick and thorough. I saw Dr. Umar, who was fantastic and made me feel very comfortable throughout the appointment. I would definitely return for a quick eye exam. One downside was that when I asked for my eyeglasses prescription after the exam, they wouldn't print it for me and insisted I had to log in online to retrieve it myself, which was a bit inconvenient. Lastly, the sales approach was quite pushy. They tried to get me to sit with a sales associate to upsell designer glasses, which felt inconsiderate of my time. I ended up ordering several pairs of glasses online through Warby Parker by simply uploading my prescription. It was much more affordable with a great selection of stylish frames. Overall, I recommend this office for the exam but would advise against buying glasses there.

In March, I went to get an eye exam from Dr. Charene DuBoyce at the Worman's Mill office. During the exam, I could tell she was becoming frustrated with me because, even with adjustments, I still could not see 20/20. I began feeling uncomfortable due to her frustration, so I offered to show her my previous prescription. She copied that prescription sent me on my may , and I purchased contacts from the office that same day. Over the past couple of months, I noticed the contacts were not helping. Today, I saw an ophthalmologist, and he diagnosed me with cataracts in both eyes, with the left eye being so severe that he cannot see through the cloudiness. He said I may need two surgeries on that eye. He also questioned why this was not diagnosed in March, since it is clear the cataracts have been developing for some time.

As someone who routinely places her needs last in an effort to take care of more important things, it was not a happy day when my best pair of glasses broke. With my second and much older spare set broken as well, I had little choice but to make an appointment, and I am so happy that I did. Everyone who took care of me in this practice was warm, personable, and kind, and if you told me that a sense of humor was required to work there, I'd believe it. I've never laughed so much through vision testing and frame selection as I did this week, and I've had corrective lenses since I was nine. The greatest highlight of the appointment was Taurean, who made getting new glasses one of the funniest and most enjoyable appointments I've experienced anywhere. Candid and sincere, he explained every option in detail, and his personal frame of reference (ha!) helped me to easily make my choices and feel confident with them. I cannot recommend this practice enough, and Taurean is an absolute treasure.

My husband and I did not have a great experience there yesterday, 10/2025. We have been going there for a few years and this experience was unlike what we were used to. The doctor and registration desk staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. It all went downhill after the exam. The sales person, Alejandro (who expressed being "sorry for being late," to his coworkers, was acting aloof, unkept, and as if hungover) was very pushy about me getting a years worth of contacts. When I inquired about a 6 month supply, he began acting as if I was inconveniencing him. The manager, Nelson, came over to the desk in a huff. He was extremely disrespectful and was rude from the start. He saw I was inquiring about 6 month supply, and said he wouldn't accept my unopened boxes if I did a 6 month supply. Previously, it would have been accepted because, according to him, "you have to buy another year supply in order to return unopened boxes." This policy is not stated anywhere nor is it what we were told when we walked in. After I said that it didn't make any sense, he rolled his eyes at me and was rude again, saying "it is what it is. You're not getting the benefits if you don't buy a year supply." I then said that I'd just pay for the exam and get my contacts elsewhere, to which he rolled back in his chair without a word and began working with someone else. The original salesperson, Alejandro did not say anything once I decided not to purchase from them, handing me a receipt and my prescription. Not even a "have a nice day" or anything. No one asked me about glasses or let me know of any sales. All because I didn't want to buy a year supply of contacts? Seems like the sales staff needs some customer service training.

Management really needs to look at hiring better people for the front. The people you're supposed to check out with and they're supposed to help you purchase glasses couldn't even be bothered to get out of their chair they just pointed and said look around did not answer any questions did not provide me with my prescription, very unhelpful very unfriendly. You should have happy people that want to work there in the front of the store helping people.

Myeyedoctor at Norman's Mill is great. The staff is professional, kind, and very patient and helpful in figuring out frames and glasses, for style and comfort as well as understanding the types of lenses options. I highly recommend them.
