Sterling Optical in Frederick, MD is top notch! Dr. Amedeo & his team have been taking care of my family's eye care needs for nearly two decades. We trust them and would recommend to everyone. My most recent visit was especially positive and worth mentioning. I had to renew my drivers license w/the MVA and needed an eye exam quickly. When I spoke to Tommy, he was able to squeeze me in a week earlier than their schedule allowed. Everything worked out and I got my license renewed on time. Not to mention the staff was kind and my visit was stress-free! A+, Thank you!

I had a great experience here - everyone was very kind, honest, and helpful. Only thing is that my glasses shipping has been a real mess. They use UPS (terrible shipping history, supports ICE) which I really am not a fan of, and my glasses are taking a long time to arrive. Not necessarily a fault on the people at Sterling Optical, but maybe use USPS instead. Just a thought.

All around ignorant !! I called yesterday asking if they see kids the age of four and explained to my situation. The man on the phone was very ignorant to tell me that They won't see a child that has autism, which is very illegal. I told him my child can read which she can. He proceeded to turn around and tell the doctor that I said my child can't read, which I never said. This place is absolutely disgusting. I regret even calling to try to get an appointment.

Dr. Amedeo was super through & my experience was lot better than expected. Trust his assessment & I'm getting prescription glasses for the first time. Recommend him if you want a legit eye exam. Staff is awesome too!

I ordered new glasses from Sterling. Unfortunately when I received them, they did not fit right. I realized I needed frames with built-in nose pads, and I didn't find any I like at Sterling. I so appreciate that the manager, Tommy, let me return the glasses for a full refund, and took the action to have my eye insurance benefits reinstated. Also, all of the staff there were so helpful when I was trying to find a replacement frame. I highly recommend Sterling Optical.

I went to Sterling optical for the first time and had a fantastic experience. Dr. Amedeo was friendly, very thorough, and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I never felt rushed in my appointment. Natalie was tremendous in explaining my results to me, and my options regarding lenses. She was very patient and sweet with my elderly father, who was accompanying me, who also had a lot of questions. I will definitely be coming back for future exams.

Samantha was equally fantastic, carefully walking us through our insurance options to maximize our benefits.
