V.eye.P Eyecare - Urbana, now part of MyEyeDr.

I've been a patient at this practice for the past three years, and every visit has been consistently positive. From the moment you walk in, the staff is friendly, welcoming, and organized, which makes the whole experience smooth and stress-free. One of the things I appreciate most is that they never seem overly booked. They actually take the time to talk with their patients, and that includes the doctor. He is always patient, attentive, and happy to explain complex medical terms in a way that is easy to understand. It's clear that he truly cares about making sure patients feel informed and comfortable. Appointments never feel rushed. The entire process--from check-in to the exam--is efficient but still very personal. You really feel that the focus is on quality care rather than just moving patients through quickly. Another thing that stands out is that there is absolutely no pressure to buy anything after the appointment. They are perfectly happy to provide your prescription and let you decide where to fill it, which I really respect. If you're looking for a professional, patient-focused doctor with a friendly staff and a well-run office, I highly recommend this location. It's been a great experience for me over the years.

This is a top-tier eye care center. Even if you're not in the area, it's worth the drive. The staff are always warm, super nice, and polite. I've never walked in or out the door feeling dissatisfied. You truly feel like family here. They genuinely care about taking care of you and will offer options if there's something that better fits your needs. This office used to be a private practice as V.Eye.P Eyecare before becoming part of MyEyeDr. Personally, I haven't always had service like this at other MyEyeDr locations, so I feel like this team is doing them a service by being part of their affiliation. Shout out to Erik (the suit king, you'll know him when you see him) and the many staff members, doctors who have assisted me and my family. It started with my sister referring me, and now they're taking care of my daughter too. This says a lot. I'm not one to write a lot of reviews, but I've been going here for years so I hope this reaches someone who's looking for an eye care office with great service, great people, and a team that truly cares about their patients. I have high myopia (-6.50) and presbyopia, so finding the right contact lenses has been quite challenging. The previous doctor at Urbana I saw did not have much experience with complex cases and did not have the patience to work carefully with patients I feel very thankful to have finally found Dr Gertz . He is extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and truly caring. He took the time to understand my needs and carefully adjusted my prescription until we found the right fit. For the first time, I finally have contact lenses that are comfortable and work well for me. I am very grateful for his professionalism and patience. I highly recommend him to anyone with complicated vision needs.

I could not be more pleased with my wonderful new glasses! When I first came into your shop, I had several issues with my vision. The entire staff listened and helped me understand what changes had occurred with my eyesight, and how they could best help me. The corrections that were made are perfect, as I said my glasses are gorgeous, and I am enjoying seeing the world again.
