America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I had a great experience at America's Best, from start to finish! Sharon did the pre-testing. She put me at ease immediately with her super friendly personality. I can remember her from previous visits, and she has always been a pro at her job and very fun to interact with. Dr. Tran is so sweet and really does a thorough exam. Finally, Lauren helped me pick out my glasses and checked me out. She was so sweet, kind and knew her job well. What a gem!I felt like the entire experience exceeded any appointment I've had over the past several years. I highly recommend this eyecare company to anyone in the Hagerstown area, due to the customer service, the thorough exam, and experienced employees who treat you like you matter. Thank you so much!

The Americas Best in Hagerstown MD is an awesome place to get glasses. They go beyond selling glasses. My family and I have been going there for years and continuously get great service. The screw to my nieces favorite pair of glasses came out and she was super upset so I told her that I would go in and see if they could be fixed (we tried at home but couldn't fix them). When I went in, the store manager Judy took care of me. She fixed them with a smile. She had a great sense of humor that made me laugh. I left the store smiling knowing that my niece was going to be happy. I have had other great experiences there but that would make this review entirely too long. Overall the whole visit was great. Only waited a few minutes in line to check in, was immediately called back for pre-exam, and when that was finished I was taken directly to exam room. Lauren definitely made my day and deserves a spotlight though! She is amazing, and went above and beyond for me! She's patient, personable, and literally spent forever helping me pick out frames and answering all my questions. All while multitasking as needed. Give that girl a raise, a bonus, something!!

So happy I switched from previous eye care center. Everyone at Americas Best is professional, friendly, and minimal wait time. Sharon was fantastic as was everyone we came in contact with. Great value too! Love them!

It was a great experience. Sharon was a blast and very helpful and Dr Tran was very professional and patiently answered all my questions. Angel is who gave me my contact class the next day and he helped me learn how to put them in a very patient and calm way. He was extremely funny too. Overall the staff is great, recommend it as it was affordable without insurance. And there was no pressure to buy glasses or anything from there.

We had wonderful service today at Americas Best. Marjorie helped us find frames we loved and was really diligent in ensuring they will fit us correctly and are designed to be used the way we need to use them. Judy and Solomon were also friendly and helpful to everyone that came in. We will definitely come back in the future!

More than likely would not recommend. Needed Saturday appointments, this was the only place. DEFINITELY NOT THE PLACE FOR CONTACTS though. Had to go back twice for an exam because the prescription wasnt strong enough. I couldnt see what the speed limit was clearly at 50 yards. I knew it wouldnt be right the doctor took less than 5 mins for the exam and my vision wasnt clear when he decided on the prescription, I thought id trust the process. The glasses sit crooked on my face, the lense isnt in the frame correctly but they can fix that. So now I can take time off work to come back again or wait for another Saturday. Over $400 later...and I should have just taken a day and went to MyEyeDr in Martinsburg like I have for the past 10 years or better. I guess mom knows best sometimes. The up side of the place is the people are just so kind in there you almost dont want to confront the issue but for that kind of money I expect a little more. Boyfriends glasses were over $500 and he says theyre not quite right but good enough I guess. He doesnt have a back up so hes gotta deal with it. This is disappointing. 4/10 stars

Honestly the worst experience I have ever had at the eye doctor. I had been going here for about 2 years as the pricing is quite fair and you can get a good deal, unfortunately that's about the only good thing about Americas Best. The wait times are TERRIBLE, genuinely expect to be there for over 2 hours. Some of the staff are really rude (not all of them and i do appreciate the ones that tried to be helpful). I had expressed that my prescription didn't seem accurate and that i couldn't see, my problems were dismissed. i was then told i had to make an appointment to get rechecked. I sat there for another 2 hours... got rechecked, received my glasses, and STILL couldn't see. I was so fed up I went to another eye doctor and I can finally see so clear! This new eye doctor told me that Americas Best had my prescription EXTREMELY off. I can't believe i ever gave this place my time or money. Don't waste your time going here, really. I know mistakes happen, but these issues have been brought to their attention multiple times and i still received improper care and attention. Spend your money elsewhere, especially for the health of your eyes!
