Maryland Vision Institute Hagerstown

This was my first experience with an ophthalmologist. Getting a medical exam was easy, check-in was simple and I didn't wait long to be seen. The entire staff was professional, friendly and efficient. I was very pleased and would highly recommend Maryland Vision Institute in Hagerstown!

What a great appointment! Alaina (not sure of spelling) was such a pleasure to have as my tech. She was personable, knowledgeable and fun. Then Dr. Masie was patient, answering all of my questions. I didn't feel rushed. The only problem I have is that the doctor is moving to the Frederick office and I will not get her again. The receptionists were friendly and everyone just made me feel welcome. Thank you.

Immediate acknowledgement upon arriving, admitted to my follow up visit within 5 min wait time. Dr Husain completely cured my eye issue after 6 wks of following treatment! Big smiles all around - thank you!!!!

From the telephone contacts, to the front desk, to the doctors, Maryland Vision Institute is comprised of friendly, efficient, considerate and knowledgeable individuals. I wholeheartedly trust my vision care to this amazing group of people. An eye emergency was efficiently handled by their office. The doctor was caring and thorough with his exam. Even though I was scheduled in on a very busy Monday, the doctor took his time to diagnose the problem and thoroughly explain everything to me as to treatment. Never once did I feel that he was in a hurry to leave. I truly appreciated that. Thank you for the wonderful care.

The care provided by the clinical team was both professional and courteous; however, the initial check-in process left something to be desired. I almost received a bill for $275 because the front desk staff assumed my insurance wouldn't be accepted, and this was before they'd even checked. After we contacted the insurance company independently, which verified coverage, the staff did then admit they accepted the plan. Although the medical treatment itself was top-notch, the insurance verification process really needs some improvement.

I had voluntary lense replacement surgery to correct my vision a couple years ago. Though I wasn't promised perfect vision, I was blessed with 20/30 vision post surgery in both eyes. So I need readers for fine print. These professionals...from the technicians to the doctors and surgeons have been the absolute finest people I could've hoped for. They took excellent care of my needs to lead a normal life without the annoying need to lead an active daily life without glasses or contacts Maryland Vision in Hagerstown is the absolute best in my humble opinion!

My 1 star review is for Dr Stern and for the 6 month wait to get an appointment. There are much better doctors at other locations that will see you in a reasonable time. This 1 star review is not reflective of the front desk staff. The front desk staff were very good.

Before committing to make an eye appointment here, I read the Google reviews and was concerned enough about certain complaints, that I contacted the Practice Administrator Rhonda to ask questions. Rhonda was friendly and empathetic and professional. I shared my concerns about possible rude reception staff based on the reviews and let her know that I don't take crap from anybody, let alone a rude receptionist. She assured me that recent staff changes were implemented to mitigate the poor reviews. And I was asked to be "secret agent" and report back to Rhonda my entire experience, from start to finish. My call to the call center to schedule my appointment was flawless, Nevada was very helpful and professional. Upon checking in for my appointment, the younger receptionist (didn't catch her name) was friendly and helpful. My appt was on time and the tech who gave me the eye tests and prepped me to see Dr. Musie, was both friendly and professional. I did have to wait for the Dr. to enter the exam room for 40 minutes, which seemed excessive, but I used the time to relax and catch up on my Facebook. Dr. Musie was also friendly and professional and answered all my questions in depth. Then the tech, who took photos of my retinas, entered the exam room immediately and was also friendly and professional. Upon checking out, I spoke with receptionist Carol, who was friendly and professional. My overall experience was EXCELLENT and I am very satisfied, and I made my follow up appointment. When I got home I called Rhonda and reported all this to her, she had many questions for me. I was made to feel as though I was helpful in this regard and that my assistance was appreciated. Rhonda thanked me several times. I hope this honest review is helpful to anyone who reads this.
