Visionworks Garrison Forest

I just went here for my visit yesterday and I was definitely impressed. I arrived early and was served right away, and things kept moving from smoothly from there. All the staff I dealt with--including the optometrist herself--were friendly, prompt, caring and professional. There is a good selection of frames at very reasonable prices. I have been to a number of optometrists in my life and Visionworks is at the top. Highly recommended.

My husband, daughter and I went to this location and between the 3 of us got 6 pairs of glasses, which have been great so far. Very clear, affordable, sturdy, and lots of styles to choose from. I requested glasses in addition to contacts. Have been wearing contacts for almost exactly 15 years now. After purchasing the contacts, I was told that I have to take a "class" before they will give them to me. I would have never agreed to anything like that if I had known beforehand. If anything, I would have gotten the exam and ordered the contacts online and had them delivered to my home like I've done for the past decade. I work a very unusual schedule and have certain limitations to taking time off. The only option they have available for the class is Thursday mornings which, again, had I known, I would never have made the purchase. I asked for a refund. They said they would have the GM call me. I got a call from someone a few days later attempting to "reschedule my missed appointment" or schedule it at another store which had basically the exact same appointment time and date available. When I said that didn't work, the person said they would now have the GM call me. I never got any call or voicemails (that I'm aware). Now I'm at a loss of money and I still have no contacts. I don't believe it was something purposefully done. Everyone was very nice, but the failure to disclose that I needed a class that's only on one particular day until after I've paid has basically made me lose $150.

Very good assistance very good service the kind people that worked there was so kind it was so quick I was in and out also the doctor made sure I was happy with the glasses my insurance covered and did everything to not make me feel bad about my eye sight she let me know people over forty may experience eye vision problems she talk to me the whole visit to assure me that it's okay and that most people my age goes through it I go back to pick my glasses up on the 20th

I was recommended by someone to come here to put my prescription in my frame. This place waited to call me a week later not to tell me my glasses are ready but I have to get a different type of lenses. I was in the store and was never explained the different lenses for me.Very terrible service I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I returned here for my vision test & to buy new glasses since I had fantastic results in 2016. Things drastically changed tho. The tech was great (why 2 stars), but the eye Dr (Dr O) was horrible. I was Not Able to see any of the tiny letters presented on the wall in front of me. I asked her 3 times to start with a larger font because I couldn't make out any letters-not even one.She refused. She passed me on the eye test tho which is not right. I picked out glasses & paid like an idiot. My insurance paid as did I. I picked them up 19 days later after NO ONE called me. I tested them for 10 days, but I couldn't see out of them..Not close (4-6 inches away) or far (4 feet). You have 100 days to return.I saw my real eye dr 35 days after getting these new glasses. He & his staff checked the prescription written on the VW paper with the eyeglasses to be sure they matched. They Didnt match. Plus,my current prescription with my real dr was the same as it was 6 months before. My real eye dr said 1 lens in the Vision Works glasses is wrong and "overcompensating". He said "no wonder you cannot see". He suggested I return or donate them. I'll never return to Vision Works.

My time in Vision Works went well, I like the new technology approach with the in store Reps providing the required services, with all images & screenings being reviewed by Senior Techs. I was still able to communicate & bounce questions and concerns off the Tech & Dr, whom were telemetry. No issues, thanks VW

I've used this location in the past and have had no issues. Unfortunately, this time it was a let down. I had an appointment scheduled and had confirmed as well. Upon arrival, the attendant was not able to find my appointment. I had shown her the confirmation via text messages and the attendant agreed that I had confirmed. I filled in the appropriate pre-documentation, and they still weren't willing to see me due to some technical difficulties on their end. I did everything right and the best they could offer was a reschedule for a day I was not available. I even asked if I could be seen later or perhaps as a walk in and was simply told no. Although this location is close to me, I will not be returning due to the poor customer service.

I was greeted professionally when I walked in the door. The Dr. is always informative and caring. The young lady who assisted with my frame purchase went completely out of her way to find me a red color frame. Exceptional service.
