Mass Eye and Ear is the best. My ophthalmologist is Alice Lorch. I have been her patient for many years, and could not be more pleased. I am grateful for her care.

I had an excellent experience at my visit with Dr. Lorch. I didn't wait long when the person called me for the visual acuity test. Unfortunately I don't recall his name. I liked his professionalism and assessment of my visual acuity. After that I had to wait a long time for next technician to take the optical coherence tomography (OCT): and again a long time to see Dr.Lorch. The visit withe Dr. Lorch delightful. She spend enough time with me after the exam to answer all my questions. Over all I had a good experience but I would like to spend less time waiting to be seen

I have been seeing Dr. Lorch for a few years. She has always provided excellent service. She takes the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Genuine individual, it is a pleasure having her as my primary eye care provider.

Dr. Lorch is patient, gives good explanations and asks the right questions, is extremely knowledgeable and perhaps most importantly, she WEARS A MASK so you don't go home with RSV or Covid the way you do from your other doctor visits at the hospital or private practice. The only two times I have left the house in the last few years is to see doctors for well visits; both times I have become very ill from the nurses who insisted they just had allergies, once was at the infusion center, the other time from a blood draw. If the doctors can wear masks, why can't the nurses and technicians? It's particularly important at an eye doctor visit where the technicians have their face directly up against your face on the other side of the machines. The rooms are enclosed, contributing to the sharing of germs. It seems absurd to have to say it, but it's extremely important to protect the health of both professionals and patients. In continuing the review for Dr. Lorch, she does not patronize, she is not rushed, and she arrives to your appointment prepared with knowledge of your health history. I highly recommend her. When you go for your eye doctor appointment, be sure to have someone drive you and bring your sunglasses in case your eyes will be dilated. If you have to go alone, and you don't have help, make sure you wear your strongest sunglasses , preferably polarized, So you can drive home safely. They don't tell you this ahead of time. If you forget your sunglasses and your eyes have to be dilated, they do have disposable plastic film that you can put over your own glasses or over your eyes, With or without contact lenses. Be sure to ask for these before you leave! They are behind the person who does the check out after your appointment. Don't leave without them.

Dr Lorch is a role model physician;listens,evaluates,explains in a lucid.precise and understandable terms .Her focus is always on the patient.

I have always received excellent care at the Longwood facility. The location is a long way from my home, but it is worth the trip to get the best health care possible.

Dr. Alice Lorch is amazing doctor. I wish all docs could be like her.
