I get very nervous going to the eye doctor, but Dr Lam was very professional, friendly, and patient with answering my questions. The optometry tech Alex was also very friendly and welcoming. The practice is very nice and clean, and I was very impressed with how advanced all the equipment and eye care technology was. Would recommend getting your eye care here!

When I called for a first appointment, I was offered a choice of two openings the next day. At the appointment, the assistant dealt expeditiously with the bureaucracy of insurance coverage, then performed the routine pre-tests to provide the doctor with data to begin her evaluation. After a further examination, the doctor gave me a diagnosis that was not surprising, but a bit worse than I had expected. She explained the nature of the condition and the plan for addressing it. We discussed the choice of surgeon for the procedure; I received an email the next day with details of the appointment they had made for me with the chosen surgeon.

I am going there for dry eye issues.Opted for IPL . Had relief after the first IPL treatment of 4 , each 1month apart. (Cost was out of pocket 1600) just had my second treatment today. Feels good. Dr Lam is terrific, explains options very clearly, is very competent and skilled. I would definitely recommend Back Bay Eye Care.
