I had an ICL procedure with Dr. Melki last week and it went basically perfectly. though it may seem anxiety-inducing to many, the procedure lasted only around 20-30 minutes and was nearly painless. The staff were clearly knowledgeable and very helpful. So far, I've landed on a 20/25 vision, which is a major improvement over what it was prior. I am very thankful for Boston Vision and their whole team for their care and help. My vision is still blurry but we believe it will subside soon

I had a great experience with my operation. I've worn glasses for 28 yrs and contacts for 6yrs. Finally made the decision to get LASIK after thinking and talking about it for years. On the day of operation, they were very informative of what steps they were taking from keeping my eyes open, to applying water. They never surprised me throughout the procedure. As of now, I'm a week after surgery and haven't experienced any pain or dry eyes and I can now see distance without corrective lens.

I had ICL surgery at Boston Vision on February 5, 2025, and chose Dr. Melki as my surgeon. Before the procedure, my pupils were dilated and I was given a sedative. After waiting for about 30 minutes, the surgery began. The entire process was quick, taking only a few minutes per eye. During the procedure, I had to focus on a light, which felt very bright and uncomfortable due to the dilation. When the lens was placed in my eye, I felt some pressure and discomfort, but no pain. On the day of the surgery, my eyes were extremely sensitive to light because of the dilation. After returning home, I took a nap, and when I woke up, I was amazed to find that distant objects were already clear. However, I still had trouble focusing on things up close. By the next morning, most of the discomfort had subsided, and my vision was sharp. The recovery was much faster than I had expected.

A few minutes after I arrived, I was brought into a room and given eye drops to expand my cornea and numb the eyes. The doctor came in to verify the distance that I would like to have in both eyes, then I waited for the drops to take place. In the operating room, they shined a very bright light in my eye and told me to look at it. The procedure was uncomfortable, but there was little pain. I'm also very squeamish so I'm sure I didn't make it easy for them. Each eye only took a few minutes and I was out very quickly. Although initially I couldn't see out of one of my eyes, my vision came back within a few minutes. My eyes were blurry that day, but that was because of the drops. The next morning I could see very well. Over the next week my eyes felt dry, or like I left my contacts in for too long, but this gradually went away. I'm still experiencing "halos," however I feel this is a small price to pay for the 20/15 vision I now have (from -10 diopters before). Overall the team was very professional and the operation was over quickly and the results were great.

My experience was great! I did PRK in both eyes, and I feel like I can see the whole world now. The procedure itself was a little uncomfortable and the healing process wasn't as easy as I thought. But, after being healed, I 100% would recommend! Dr. Melki and his team did amazing.

Scheduled for post cataract surgery to address alternatives to failed surgery on one eye. I was seen quickly and staff was very patient to hear my concerns. Dr. Melki was patient and compassionate and listened and offered solutions. Very positive experience.

My experience with Boston Vision exceeded my expectations. Everyone I encountered throughout the process was kind and helpful and were always ready to assist me in any way they could. The team addressed any concerns or questions I had pre and post op and I knew they would be easily accessible if I had questions after hours. Dr. Melki and the team made me feel very comfortable the day of my surgery. I knew I was in good hands. I am very happy with the outcome. My recovery has been easy, straightforward and painless

I had an overall great experience! After all of my research, I decided on Boston Vision even though it was a 2 hour drive each way. On the day of my appointment, we were at the office for about 3 hours. I was nervous even though I've been through eye muscle surgery three times in the past. I couldn't sleep the night before because I was so excited and anxious at the same time. I took the Xanax they offered, but it didn't seem to do enough since I was still shaky during the procedure. Everyone was so nice though and I felt taken care of! All of the directions and info they give about lasik was appropriate. The next day, things were still a little blurry and I'm seeing halos with lights, but I was already reading at 20/20 vision! Highly recommend Dr. Melki and Boston Vision!
