Lickteig Family Eyecare - Boston

SO glad I found this place! I only found it by searching for eye doctors in downtown online, because you wouldn't walk past it on the street as it is located in the ground level of Macy's. Dr. Lord and her assistant were kind and professional, and the staff helped me pick out the best new frames for my face. They had tons of options for frames, so it was really helpful to have a second person's professional opinion right in the store. Everyone was very friendly - will definitely be going back.

Melissa was fantastic! She had plenty of thoughtful advice, and I got the impression she really wanted me to be happy with what I ended up with, and wasn't just trying to make sales. She explained everything very well and I loved talking with her! Her associates were very helpful as well

Incredibly fast, efficient and thoughtful experience. My insurance records and coverage were already researched by the time I arrived - and I had only made the appointment hours before. Highly recommended for convenience and comprehensiveness of exam.

This was by far one of the best experiences I've had over the years. The doctor was very thorough and patient with my questions regarding contacts. The staff was courteous, professional and all around welcoming. Thank you!

This was my second appointment at this office. I had a different doctor last time, and Dr. Tom-Kun was an amazing doctor, and this time I had the pleasure to meet Dr. Lickteig. Both Doctors are very attentive, knowledgeable, through, and friendly. The way that Dr. Licktieg explains things from as simple as how glasses work to the structure of the eye itself, I was in school learning from a professor BUT I ACTUALLY ENJOYED IT. I genuinely would enjoy just to hear Dr. Lickteig give a lecture on their profession, but imagine if that information was specific to you, like reading a DNA test with genetic information about yourself. Not to mention, the rest of the staff, including Janelle, who completed the pre exam was super friendly and professional as well. Never did I thought I'd literately enjoy getting my yearly eye exam.

The visit was fine until I received my bill..why should a routine pillow exam cost me nearly 500. Dollars. The first visit I said well I did pick some frames. This visit cost the same as the first and I already had my frames I had just purchased from them..

Everyone was nice, friendly and professional! Came back to work saying how great the service was that I received and letting them know if they need eye care services, they should be sure to call and make an appointment there.

Though their service is wonderful (Dr. Lord is patient and thorough), it is absolutely impossible to get a hold of their office (it goes straight to a recording without an option of talking to someone directly). I have left multiple voicemails with no response. Unprofessional and will no longer be going here for my care given this.
