I am visiting from out of town on business (former local guy). I woke up with blockage in my right ear and was seen quickly at MEE I. I was treated with the utmost respect by a young nurse practitioner. She was a total sweetheart and a lot of fun. Then again I'm an hour long patient. although there was some pressure and discomfort during my treatment I'm not a screamer. I saw her for what she was a hard-working confident young nurse practitioner. This is the first time I've been out of town and had to make a sick call and I was so glad to hear that they gladly accepted Kaiser Permanente. I pull up in Boston and I started my career here. I shared my story about a drunken mall Santa Claus story on the Orange Line enroute to Malden Center. "Daddy. Daddy Santa smells like stale whiskey and broken dreams. after a day of dealing with the indigent angry population. she appreciated a good laugh.

TL:DR Great people but understaffed and not enough rooms. Visit 1: Even if you clearly have eye problem where a bone might poke your eye (thankfully was okay) and they think you have a concussion you will still wait hours between triage and being seen. I've been asked about billing twice and only triaged. People have been waiting here for hours. Im supposed to have a cat scan. Will probably have it next week at this rate. A long ER wait. Even the people who clearly need to be seen with asap are waiting long times. At least the staff are nice. But really need more of them. Visit 2: Came for a 10:40 appointment. Been here for two hours and still waiting. One doctor who has an overfilled waiting room. Where is the funding for this place? I feel line this is a half functioning rural hospital rather than the premier eye and ear hospital for one of the medical capitals of the world.

There aren't words in any language appropriate enough to express how outstanding the strabismus specialist team are at what they do and how they do it. Every single person involved, from Ollie, the nurses' assistant, to Dr. Cestari, who performed my surgery, was not just good at what they do but spectacular. To: Julie (nurse) Ollie (nurses' assistant) Pauline (nurse) Dr. Sunjara (anesthesiologist) Myra (nurse) Ellen (nurse) Nora (nurse) Dr. Dean Cestari (MD surgeon and specialist) Dr. Grace Baldwin (MD) I thank you, so much, from the bottom of my heart. I am a person who is terrible with names and faces but I will never forget yours, how you cared for me and what you've done. You changed my life. Thank you. I cannot recommend this team or facility enough. You will be in the best of hands.

My experience with Dr. Dean Cestari and his team was outstanding from start to finish. I underwent corrective eye surgery and was truly impressed by the level of care, compassion, and professionalism I received. Dr. Cestari explained the entire procedure thoroughly, which eased any anxiety I had going in. I'm a performing musician and had a show only five days post-surgery -- the healing was quick and clean, with minimal redness, which speaks to both his skill and attentiveness. I couldn't be happier with the results or the experience. Easily one of the best doctors I've ever worked with. Highly recommend.

Review: 1. With over 80 million views and ranking in the top percent of Google Reviewers worldwide, I know excellent service when I encounter it. Every so often, however, I come across someone who exceeds excellent at the highest level. I want everyone at Massachusetts General Hospital to know that one of the most outstanding customer service professionals I have ever met is Elizabeth Monzer in Pediatric ENT for Dr. Keamy. Her steadfast help, genuine concern, and extraordinary effort to help schedule surgery for my two-year-old daughter merits the highest recognition, praise, and frankly, an award and raise! Liz, keep up the outstanding work and care you provide patients and families. People like you are truly one of a kind! Thank you Review 2. I'll keep this review short and to the point. Some people are just overall amazing human beings regardless of their job title or status. People that will help, not because they're getting paid to, not because they're told to, and not because they have to help. Instead, some people help out of the goodness and pure kindness of their heart. Sarah Olander, LICSW, at Mass Eye and Ear is one of those people. She should be recognized for her outstanding care and the extraordinary assistance that she provided me in a extreme time of need. Thank you Sarah, again! You're awesome!!!

I've been a patient of Dr Matthew Naunheim's, laryngologist, for almost 5 years. He is a wonderful physician. Very knowledgeable, great personality and is always on time. I feel very lucky to have such a great doctor and the care is Top notch! I would give him 10 stars if I could

I've literally been to this hospital twice in my life. Both for LASIK procedures. Ever since I was a teenager i had had bad eye sight. I couldn't see far. In HS I wore glasses but glasses weren't sustainable long term. When I got to college my mother said that my graduation present would be LASIK at Mass Eye&Ear. I got my first LASIK in October/2011. But I was in my early 20's at that point so it wore off a few years later. Fortunately Mass Eye/Ear has a policy (or had at the time) where if you get LASIK done there they give you 50% off if you need it done a 2nd time. I got it the 2nd time March/2016. Both procedures (is it technically a surgery?) Were performed by Dr Roberto Pineda. He was amazing. He's the basically the best in the world at what he does. And given how important and sensitive the eye is...I wouldn't want anyone other than the best doing anything to my eye. Roberto Pineda is the best. My experience was phenomenal. In and out, could see right away. No issues or side effects on either procedure. Honestly, if you're someone who can't see far...I can't recommend LASIK enough. It's the best decision I've ever made, because it literally impacts your life 24/7. There's very few decisions in life that impact you all day everyday; being able to see is one of them. Actually, there is one minor side effect of LASIK...your eyes typically become more sensitive to sun light, so you will need sunglasses after LASIK. like permanently. Whenever you are outside in the sun you will need sunglasses, especially when the sun angle is more powerful. But that's a nothing side effect that is easily dealt with. But again, I can't recommend this place enough. IDK if Pineda is still there, but I'm sure whoever they have doing LASIK for distance vision is better than any other doctor at any other place. Don't cheap out on LASIK.
