Matthew Gardiner is a super-doctor and a super-person. Although he is always very busy, he is never harried and always takes a great deal of time with his patients, both listening and explaining clearly. For however many minutes one is privileged to be in his care, he gives you then feeling that you and only you are his only patient. All of the above is predicated on Dr. Gardiner's brilliant technical expertise. I cannot recommend a comprehensive ophthalmologist more highly.

I was blessed to happen upon Dr. Gardiner. I was scheduled to have cataract surgery with another group of care providers when I decided to get a second opinion. I'm so glad I did. Dr. Gardiner was so thorough, compassionate, kind, and professional. He was instrumental in my decision to NOT go forward with my original lens choice and instead to have a mono focal lens set for distance. I couldn't be happier with my results. I am only 5 days post op and my vision is amazing. Dr. Gardiner has an amazing staff who were all very caring and supportive. I highly recommend Mass Eye and Ear and Dr. Gardiner specifically.
