I could write a book to talk about this place and the staff that work there. However, I will say this; this is a horrible place that traumatized my daughter and me in many ways. They discriminate against undocumented people and people with limited English. They have a farm across from the shelter, but they never gave us anything for free when I was there. They treated those who tried to do things right so badly. I tried to report a staff member who put her hands on me while carrying my baby, and they made me look like it was my fault because I could not advocate for myself at that time to explain what happened. So, nobody believed me, but I wish cameras were in the offices so they could see I was telling the truth. Today, I can advocate for myself and help other women.
