This is the second eye exam and contacts fitting I have had here. All of the staff are very professional and good at what they do.
Most notably, I was impressed by Nasem's talent in eyewear styling/sales. He helped me find the perfect frame for my face shape, features, coloring and specific requests like making my eyes look less droopy/tired. I am extremely particular about aesthetics, as career designer (fashion/clothing/accessory) for the past 20 years. However, it's hard for me to know where to start with eyeglasses. He started by selecting about 5-6 frames for me to try, and he nailed it in first attempt. (Wow!) I saw I could trust his judgment in taste, fit, AND listening to customer preferences. Next, he helped me edit down, another tough thing to do myself. The glasses I bought were very expensive for me (still have sticker shock!) but I truly think they fit my face better than any I've had before. I'm so excited to wear them, and will refer people to him for guidance!
DO NOT GO HERE! I had a disappointing and unprofessional experience at this office and would not recommend it.
First, my insurance covers one comprehensive eye exam per year (MGB Davis Vision). However, the office routinely uses a "fundus camera" and charges an additional $39, which is not typically covered by insurance. This was never communicated to me in advance.
My initial appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM, but I did not see Dr. Idrizovic until 10:20 AM. When I was finally brought back, the visit felt chaotic. The receptionist knocked on the exam room door multiple times because other patients were waiting to pick up contacts and were frustrated. During the appointment, I was told I had dry eyes, but the doctor said she did not have time to address it and asked me to reschedule. I left without an updated prescription and only a vague understanding that I "might" have dry eyes?
At my follow-up appointment (scheduled for 1:00 PM however I was not seen until 1:45 PM) I was again told I had dry eyes and was encouraged to purchase a LipiFlow treatment costing between $700-$1,500, which is not covered by insurance. When I checked out, I was charged $114 -- $75 for the follow-up and $39 for "Lipiscan" imaging. No imaging was performed that day. I was told they were charging to review images taken during my first appointment, which had not been clearly explained.
I raised concerns about the lack of clarity and the way the appointments were handled. Later that day, Dr. Idrizovic called and agreed to reimburse the $114. However, during that call she told me it was my responsibility to ask the front desk for my prescription (which is why I didn't receive it initially) and commented that my insurance was "poor," comparing it to her own Harvard Medical School insurance with lower copays (she told me her copays were $20 which is significantly lower than mine which were $75 ). I found this extremely unprofessional.
Although I was reimbursed the $114, the office still billed my insurance for the follow-up visit, during which no meaningful evaluation occurred beyond being told I had dry eyes and being encouraged to purchase an expensive treatment.
Overall, the experience felt disorganized (I waited over 2 hours total over my 2 appointments), poorly communicated, and focused more on upselling than patient care. I would not return.
My first visit to All Eye Care Doctors earlier this week was an exceptionally positive experience. The entire staff is welcoming and works together to ensure that patients are well cared for. As a result of severe dry eyes, I experienced a corneal tear. Dr. Idrizovic saw me immediately and took quick action to stop the pain and prevent further damage. She was very caring, listened to my concerns and clearly explained treatments and options. I could not be happier with my experience. The Cambridge office has the latest technology with an extensive selection of eyewear at all price points. I would highly recommend Dr. Idrizovic and the staff at All Eye Care Doctors.
Dr. Idrizovic is amazing! She helped me find my correct prescription for glasses lenses and scleral contact lenses. Very knowledgeable and professional. Cannot thank her enough. 10/10
A friend referred me to All Eye Care for progressive contacts. I have never worn contacts prior. The staff at this location have been so very kind, professional and patient. They taught me how to take them in and out. They really worked with me to make sure I was happy with the prescription. Dr Enian Kallamata even gave me his contact information for further information or questions. I had to return to the office as I was having trouble and they worked so patiently with me. It is so nice not wearing glasses and I thank all the staff for its very personalized care. I never waited long, they always worked around my schedule and they are all so very nice. You will get great care, service and quality.
Great experience! Dr. Idrizovic was thorough, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Nassim, the optician, and the rest of the staff was friendly, process was easy, and I'm very happy with my care. Highly recommend!
The process of booking an appointment was fast and easy. The office makes sure to see you as soon as you can. Dr. I provided excellent service--thorough, professional, and truly caring. The staff was also amazing; they helped me pick out the perfect pair of cute glasses and gave great suggestions for frames and lenses that fit my needs. The whole process was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend!
I would not recommend this practice for Ortho-K treatment. I saw Dr. I, and my experience was extremely disappointing. I have been using Ortho-K for nine years and recently moved to Boston, where I wanted to continue my care. I scheduled a 4:00 PM appointment but waited over an hour before being seen. When Dr. I finally came in, she appeared distracted and was still updating notes from her previous patient during my visit. The entire appointment lasted about ten minutes, and she told me she would call the next day with more information.
The next day (Friday) came and went without any call. I tried calling and texting the office but could not reach anyone. On Monday, I called again and spoke with the front desk, who assured me she would call on Tuesday. Tuesday passed with no call. On Wednesday, I contacted the front desk again, who said they would alert their manager and have her call that day. She finally called at 7:00 PM, after office hours, only to tell me she hadn't called earlier because she "didn't know yet" what to do about my Ortho-K care. I explained that while it was fine if she needed more time, she should have communicated that rather than leaving me waiting with no follow-up.
A week later, she called again--also after hours at 8:00 PM--with pricing information. She quoted $2,400 for an "initial visit" this year and $1,400 for replacement lenses every other year. She also mentioned that she had contacted my previous doctor's office to ask what they charged me for lenses, which I found highly inappropriate and unprofessional. As a separate practice, they should have their own pricing structure, not rely on another office's rates. My previous provider charged $600 for lenses--less than half of what this office quoted. I also called other Ortho-K providers in the area, and none charged anywhere near these prices, especially not $2,400 for an initial visit, considering I am already an established Ortho-K patient who only needed new lenses with a known prescription.
There were other concerning aspects as well. Dr. I insisted I should purchase glasses--which are unnecessary for Ortho-K users--and suggested I undergo a "wash" period, meaning I would stop wearing Ortho-K lenses to revert to my original prescription and then start fresh. This process would have required multiple unnecessary visits and costs, even though my current prescription is stable. She also claimed I had dry eyes and recommended treatment, despite the fact that I have never had dry eye issues and no previous doctor has ever diagnosed me with it.
After all this, I emailed the office to say I would not be continuing care with All Eye Care. Shortly after sending that message, Dr. I suddenly called saying she had "good news" and wanted to speak within 30 minutes. This sudden change felt insincere and untrustworthy.
Overall, my experience with this office was unprofessional, poorly managed, and filled with questionable practices. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for Ortho-K care.
