Dr. Klaahsen was wonderful! She took time to explain everything during the eye exam. In fact all the staff were helping and welcoming. Will definitely go again for an yearly checkup.

Dr. K. is a wonderful doctor and an extraordinarily nice person who I trust with all of my eye care. I use to see ophthalmologists for my eyecare; there is no comparison! Dr. K. is more personable, spends more time with me, and the visits take much less time than I ever experienced at an ophthalmologist's office. And if I ever needed to see a specialist, I would feel completely confident in Dr. K's recommendation. She is also a fantastic businesswoman! You can see that in how efficiently and pleasantly her office is run and in the high employee retention! We are SO fortunate to have her in Cambridge!

Every person was caring and very friendly. They allayed my anxieties. Dr.Thakore was excellent answering my questions. She explained everything I asked. She understood HOW I SAW with my quirky eyes. She was focussed, precise, and understanding. I loved her enthusiasm about my answers during the lens comparisons. The best exam I ever had.

I've been a patient of Dr. Klaahsen for years. She is a fantastic. And her staff is equally great. I highly recommend General Optical for eye exams. And their selection of glasses is always good.

Dr. Klaahsen is amazing. I am very nearsighted and the eye doctor has always been a stressful, depressing experience (when I was younger, eye doctors would often make very unhelpful comments about how blind I was so I was traumatized for a long time). Instead, Dr. Klaahsen is very matter of fact, makes helpful suggestions around options for me to have my best vision and stresses the health of my eyes. She is also great at working with insurance and overall it's just a very pleasant experience - which is saying a lot.

I've been going to see Dr Klaahsen at General Optical for quite a few years, at the enthusiastic recommendation of a friend who had been a patient of hers for a long time. I continue to find Dr Klaahsen one of the most dedicated, capable, and enjoyable doctors of those I have ever met. She's incredibly thorough, sincerely concerned about her patients' medical needs, and is genuinely interested in their overall welfare. At a time when most doctors are hurried, often seeming rude or cold, Dr Klaahsen represents a caring, thoughtful, an kind humanity that is rare. She listens to patients' concerns and questions, answers them with deep respect and patience, and ensures that they're comfortable and satisfied with their visit all around. She is also resourceful and gladly provides names of other professionals in the field if further referrals might be indicated. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Dr. Klaahsen is great! I never feel rushed and she is always willing to answer my questions. Their new office is great with easy parking! Staff is always kind and welcoming. They have a great selection of frames as well!
