Central Square Eye Care

I have been going here to see Dr. White for over 10 years. I always receive great care. Dr. White is professional, personable, and knowledgeable. I have total trust in him. I also feel valued and treated as an individual, not just another patient. Dr. White goes out of his way to help you out and will work with you if you have concerns or a prescription isn't working out. Two years ago, my company switched insurance not accepted by Central Square Eye Care and I went elsewhere. I had horrible service, so I dropped that insurance and bought my own, just so I could go back to Dr. White, and I'm glad I did. I also have bought my glasses here. They have great styles and I've always been happy with the result.

This guy is one of the best doctors I've ever been too. First I showed up on my bike, and he kindly asked if I wanted to bring it inside. I really appreciated that. The appointment was smooth and efficient. He mentioned I should check with a dermatologist about rosacea, because if it gets bad it could effect my eyes. He was a absolutely correct about that. He also said I could use baby shampoo to clear up the crust around my eyelids. Both issues I've dealt with my whole life, but no one else has ever presented me solutions. Dr. White gave me suggestions that fixed my problems. I only went for one eye exam before moving out of the area, but my life is better off for it. Thank you Dr. White

Helped me out in a pinch!! I was traveling and needed emergency eye care. He was kind and professional. It was a pleasant experience.

I walked-in today with some questions about an existing pair of glasses from a different optometrist. My eyes had been hurting, and I wanted help figuring out if something was wrong. The staff was very friendly, and Dr. White helped me out, measuring my PD, checking the power on my lenses, and answering my questions, even though I wasn't a customer yet. It really helped me out, and if I decide to get an eye exam, I will certainly be coming here.

So I call today and ask for George who'm I have always taken care of me. I've always liked him and the service he's given me. But I guess I left a review 6 years ago 6 years. And now they won't accept me as a customer anymore. Isn't that what a review is for. He wouldn't even speak with me on the phone. I'm just still like really 6 years ago. Pretty unprofessional when you should say thanks for the input. Still I can't get over this after 6 years.

I've been seeing Dr. White for many years. His easygoing manner makes the appointment pass easily. I've done well with the contact lens prescriptions; they make it simple. There's no pressure to get eyeglasses there, but I got my son's glasses there. He has rough on everything he owns, and they kindly repaired his glasses several times for free. I'm a loyal customer, and I recommend this place!

The doctor was fine, but I felt totally ripped off by the service. I was not made aware that a contact lens exam is different from a standard vision exam, and is therefore not covered by insurance. Just as I was about to leave, I was told I need to pay $125. I felt like I was punched in the gut. I was expecting to leave with my visit totally covered insurance, as the receptionist assured me. Had I known I would be leaving with a $125 hole in my pocket, I would have never agreed to the contact exam. The doctor nor the receptionist made any effort to inform me of this additional cost, which is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The onus is on the business to inform the customer of any additional and unexpected charges. When I raised this concern to the man taking my payment, he didn't say a word. He never attempted to rectify the issue nor understand where I was coming from. In short, I will not be returning to this business in order to avoid such sly practices, and for the level of service, I highly recommend other eye doctors.
