I was a bit hesitant on bringing my 5yr old into Dr.Corin's office after reading the reviews. Our visit was a follow up after we spent the night in the ER because my child poked himself in the eye pretty badly. We had to see a specialist the following morning. I did a quick google search in my area and the office I called was associated with Dr.Corin. The original office couldn't see me that day but I was able to get an appointment in Dartmouth later that afternoon. I took the appointment. My child's dad did a Google search and a lot of one star reviews is all we saw. I told him let's go in with an open mind and so happy we did. Dr.Corin is very straight to the point, a little quirky but handled my child with the upmost care. When I first met him he was a little abrasive, asked me some questions about the er visit that I couldn't answer with clarity. My child was sitting on dad's lap so I had the chance of observing the exam. He moved with precision quickness, was clear on what he was doing to my child before he did it so my kid wouldn't get scared. At one point in the exam I realized that he's actually very caring kind doctor but his tone can come off as harsh. I complimented him on his work. As he was explaining a few things he cracked a few jokes. I wouldn't let the 1 star reviews deter you from seeing a wonderful doctor. We have a follow up appt coming up and I'm happy this situation is in good hands.

After a lifetime of seeing Dr Corin, & dealing with him throughout my children's lives,I am happy to say leaving this practice was the best thing we did. Dr Corin is downright verbally abusive, condescending, arrogant & a bully. He consistently displays inappropriate behavior with patients and his staff. He continuously dismissed my vision complaints for the last 10 years and over prescribed my glasses for decades. Due to this I have a developed a strabismus in both eyes which now requires surgery. My child also has a strabismus. When asked what do we do? He replied idk, nothing. Have them look at the end of a pencil eraser, with a shrug! This review is LONG overdue & frankly he is long overdue for the can. Trash that is!

I took my 6 year old daughter to see Dr. Corin based on her pediatrician's referral for tissue growth in her eye. I wish I had read the reviews here beforehand- the majority are negative for a reason. During our brief appointment, Dr. Corin offered no course of action other than a wait-and-see approach. He did however, pack those 15 minutes full of enough arrogance, condescension and misogyny that it felt a whole lot longer. Dr. Corin offered no actual medical help and was just an absolute self-important boor. Seek treatment elsewhere.

Dr. Corin was disrespectful and patronizing towards me and my daughters today. He should learn to be more courteous and understand his boundaries when it comes to disciplining my children. It was inappropriate for him to reprimand my daughters based on his outdated and misogynistic views. He told my 14 year old social media is rotting her brain and that her phone could be taken away... she's not even on social media and her phone doesn't have internet access. His comment was after my daughter mentioned that she didn't like how her last pair of glasses looks on her. He told my 10 year old to sit right. She is neurodivergent and got embarrassed. I will absolutely never return and I will be finding a doctor who knows how to stay in their lane.

I had been told Dr. Corin was great with kids especially special needs kids. I was asked to come in for 830 with an 845 appt time for my twins-one with special needs-I was VERY clear when I booked the appt my child was disabled. I waited almost an hour was not called in so I got up and left after letting them know at the 40 minute mark I needed to get my son seen. They have absolutely no concept or respect for peoples time or the challenges of a uniquely abled child. I never even got near the dr. the staff really failed. SUPER disappointed. Don't take your kids there. They dont even deserve 1 star.

Dr. Scott Corin is extremely kind and has taken very good professional, friendly care of my husband and my eyes for years. My son had a Basel cell cancer near his eye and he removed it . He's the only one I would trust with my and my family's eyes! Knowledgeable, friendly and kind.

I strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere, especially for your children. I brought my son in when he was 6 months old after his pediatrician agreed with me that there was something off with his gaze. Dr. Corin hastily "examined" him and told me he was fine, all while treating me in the rudest, most condescending manner. My son was a little bit fussy and needed to eat while we were there (he was an infant at the time, so this was an expected thing to occur). Dr. Corin made a completely unwarranted and inappropriate comment regarding my son being bottle fed vs. breast fed, telling me that was the reason he was fussy was because he wasn't getting his sucking reflex relieved. We were there for an eye exam...if I wanted to see a lactation consultant, I would have made an appointment with one. All that aside, the reason you should not see this doctor is because he completely missed a CRUCIAL diagnosis. I got a second opinion from a pediatric ophthalmologist from Boston Children's, who, upon examining my son, discovered that he has a retinal disease that can become progressive, and requires annual exams and treatment. My son is extremely near sighted in his affected eye, and requires corrective lenses. Once he got his glasses, he was like a different child. I'm thankful I sought out that second opinion. I recommend you save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere for pediatric ophthalmology care.

Went in with my daughter's appointment because I had a appointment the next day wanted to meet him because she mentioned that he has a bad bedside manner! Boy was she right he is extremely rude and speaks to you like he is purposely down grating you. He thinks he is a know it all but I have news for him being a doctor also requires decent respect for your patience. Definitely canceled immediately!
