My comment is directed to Dr Shield.
My most recent visit was of extreme and vital nature to me, his kind and thorough evaluation of my eye put me at great ease as he told me that my retina looked very good and I should not be concerned this day with my current condition.
I could not ask for a nicer nor better primary care eye doctor and I thank him very much for allowing me into his care. My partner is also his Dr and he did cataract surgery on him which went nicely and is doing very well.

There was a paperwork mess-up (my fault) two days before my scheduled cataract surgery. The nurse coordinator worked closely with me and guided me through a complicated fix-it operation. I'm immensely grateful that the surgery went through as planned. The doctor, nurses, staff people all were competent, friendly, careful, efficient...and best of all right on schedule. This team of providers is excellent.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes. Before the surgery, the world was a blur with or without my glasses. I waited too long because I was scared, and I had just given up. Dr. Dostal told me it was cataracts. Then I went to Dr. Shield for the surgery. His manner is calming and confident. As soon as I met him him, I knew I was going to be ok and I wasn't scared, but what I didn't know was that the surgery would have amazing results and be a breeze. He is an excellent surgeon. The surgery completely changed my life. I can read books and see written music again. Thank you!!!!

Dr. Gal is fantastic. The front office is delightful. And the folks who prep you for the doc are great, too! I have come here for several different services and have had nothing but great experiences. The first visit was to have a pre-cancerous spot removed from my eye and it healed beautifully. I'm super fair skinned and don't usually heal without a scar, but Dr. Gal did SUCH a great job that you wouldn't even know I ever had anything done. So appreciative!

I was very impressed with the care I received from Dr. Shatz for cataract surgery. He was willing to advise me when it came to the available choices and to help me come to a final decision about what would be best for me. He is a very skilled surgeon, and I felt I was in good hands, even though I was quite terrified about having anyone surgeon work on my eyes! My vision is now 20-20, and I'm able to read the finest print without glasses or contact lenses.

I love this place and my eye physician, Dr. Shield. The staff are always courteous, competent, warm, and welcoming. Dr. Shield was amazing -- for all of the above reasons, but of course, even MORE so because he did my 2 cataract surgeries! I old recommend them to anyone (I always deep down resist doing that because then it means I have to SHARE!!!). Great office, great staff, GREAT doc.

Called because our 7-yr old daughter was in distress because something was in her eye that we couldn't get out. The receptionist was kind and forwarded us to their "Triage Line", which went straight to voicemail.
After two hours we called back and the same receptionist assured us they'd check in and have someone call back shortly.
30 minutes later someone named Kathy from triage called back and told us brusquely it would be it least a week (!?!) and we should be calling urgent care instead.
It would have been nice to know this ahead of time.
We called another eye clinic and my daughter was seen that day.
We do not recommend them. Two stars instead of one because the receptionist was super kind.
