My wife was able to book eye doctor appointments for each of us on very short notice, but unfortunately, on the day of our appointments we had to wait well over one hour in the waiting area to be seen by anyone.
Once inside the examining room things did not get any better, and we again had to continue waiting for an extended period of time to be seen.
When our tech, Chad, did, in fact, finally examin our eyes, though, he was very apologetic, but professional and entertaining, too, and we can not say enough good things about him.
So, if waiting in a doctor's office does not bother you, then this might just be the office for you.
I just stopped in my eye doctor to fill my prescription for glasses. I worked with Kelly, she was awesome! She worked through my insurance and figured out exactly what I was eligible for and help me select a great pair of glasses. The facility was very helpful, clean and easy in and easy out...huge plus, there was plenty of parking available. Highly recommended.
For the first time I had a thorough , productive and informative eye exam! Dr. Alexa Vardiman O.D discovered issues. I never knew I had, explained symptoms and had solutions. By far the best optometrist I have ever been to! I highly recommend her and Myeyedr for all Vision needs!
Great experience with my eye exam. The staff was friendly, the doctor was very professional, and everything was explained clearly. The exam was quick and thorough. Highly recommend! Dr Vardiman was excellent!
One of these stars is for the doctor, I can't remember her name, who was excellent and one is for Devon who solved my issue. Long story short, MyEyeDr Northampton messed up my billing for months then I was told it would be taken off but then they sent debt collectors after me 5 months after my appointment. The billing is outsourced.
There was a $30.24 bill that said "invalid member ID" even though my insurance paid the full eye appointment bill and I have no copays. I called my insurance and made sure it was paid in full. I called MyEyeDr at least 6 times and went in person once and was told several things like my insurance was wrong/not in my file (it was correctly in my file and I double checked with my insurance that the bill was paid), that the charge would be taken off (I was told this twice by two different employees), and was later told that it was past the 90 day period and it would probably not be taken off but that the manager would contact me (I started calling them before the 90 day period was done and the supervisor never contacted me). Seemingly no one talked to billing because last week I was contacted by debt collectors for the bill of $30.24. The bill that I was told would be taken off multiple times. I called again last week and someone from the Amherst location that was covering a shift was finally able to take the charge off my bill (thank you Devon). I was again told the manager would contact me after their billing answered the debt forgiveness request but I was never contacted. I went in person to check and was told it was finally taken off my bill. The run around and lack of cohesive information and action was ridiculous. If there were not issues with the billing for months I would come back for that doctor, but unfortunately I will never come back to this location.
We went in today to my eye doctor in Northampton. Kelley was super helpful in adjusting my mom's glasses so that they sat evenly on her face. It was a clean pleasant space and Kelley was very helpful. Would highly recommend.
I'm done giving this place second chances. First, my exam for glasses was done wrong and the glasses made me sick. No big deal, I was able to get another exam. When I got there, the examiner told me I was straining my eyes so I did everything I could to keep them relaxed. After a couple of minutes she told me that I was straining my eyes too much, and we would have to stop. She told me to wait for a call from them to reschedule. I didn't hear anything for at least a week so I started calling to make the appointment myself. Twice, someone answered and then told me to wait for another call back. I haven't recieved a single call from them. Ever. I don't understand how a place stays in business this way.
Most unprofessional office I've ever visited. As I write this, I am on hold waiting to reschedule an appointment THEY are canceling. First visit we sat for several minutes before they told us we had to reschedule because their retinal camera machine broke. We had two appointments for eye exams and both had to be rescheduled.
(still on hold. 10:28 minutes and going)
Then the glasses that were eventually prescribed had wrong prescription. Been back twice and waited two months for call back. Only when I called back wondering what was going did I get another appointment....3 weeks out. NOW they cancel. still holding!!!! 13:05 minute to reschedule. UNPROFESSIONAl!! Holding 15:15 minutes
A laughing voice in a conversation with someone else answers phone, puts on hold with asking...I'm guessing they are leaving on hold hoping I hang up.
20 minutes....still waiting.
Have left this office. Never going to return. Eye prescription still NOT correct.
