Plantation Street VA Clinic

The staff needs a little compassion while speaking to people in the waiting room. My mother has onset dementia and while I was waiting for my veteran father in his multiple appts she wanted to see a video of her grandchildren. I did not see the sign that asks us to not use your cell phones etc. My mistake. where we were sitting there was not a sign visible. My deepest apologies for that I did not intentionally do it knowingly and I am a respectful person in life and would never intentionally do that. Well a woman with glasses marched over and spoke so rudely at me and my mother and sprinted off before I could apologize and explain. This caused my mother with dementia to be upset because she couldn't understand why I couldn't show her videos of her grandchildren and sad someone spoke to her that way and left me feeling terrible. Because of that, I had to remove my mother into the hallway to calm her down and explain. It's tough when someone has dementia and can not comprehend things completely. . I am the proxy of both my parents it is not easy as much as I love them. Your staff needs a little sensitively training before assuming someone is being rude . They should put themselves in someone else's shoes and situation and assume some compassion might be in need. Not everyone in this world is purposely rude. As tough as my days are with being a caregiver and handling my job and life this was the last feelings my mother and I needed to feel. I forgive her but please have your staff be aware of other people situation. Usually the VA staff from Worcester locations to Western Mass have always been polite respectful and compassionate. I have to share this review. Today I took my 96 year old Dad here. I can't believe how nice they treat Veterans. The lady at the front desk at the hearing check in is so nice!!! The Dr who took care of my Dad was so nice also. These are caring wonderful people that work here!! I sure hope they see this post also. Thank You all so much for all that you do for Veterans!!!

The staff here treats veterans with respect the woman that does the eye exams and the woman that fits the glasses they are an asset to every veteran!

While they had built a building big enough to have a full hospital it is not one.we need a full Hospital for veterans in central ma.

Never a bad experience here, easy parking, easy entrance, polite workers, great staff.

I always get great service just be prepared to hurry up and wait as many times they run little late as many people to care for
