I got my glasses here several years ago I called to request my prescription or a replacement pair of glasses mind you there nothing wrong with the prescription I got right now I see farther away then I've been able to in the past I get told that I have to have a new eye exam so I ask for my prescription so I could order them online they told me no that I couldn't have it because it expired but according to FTC I am entitled to it I do not recommend this place they are just trying to rack up more money to bill your insurance stay away be aware

My son went in for a exam to get contact lenses for football and he paid for a exam which included a trial pair of lenses BUT he never got a chance to wear them because after the 4th pair having tears in them in the course of two days I looked at the expiration date some were expired in January of 2022 and some expired in may of 2022. To make matters worse his follow up appointment was canceled due to them having expired contacts and needing to order more! The manager told me the expiration date really didn't mean anything that's just what the FDA Decided to do. They won't refund the 100 my son paid plus when I asked questions about this a person by the name of KIM at the flint location downtown got on the phone and raised her voice at me and was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. When I pointed this out to her she laughed so I never will be doing business down here again and I don't recommend them. CHECK YOUR DATES

So I had my glasses broke @ work and needed a new pair, luckily I had a back up pair. I call to make an appointment but couldn't get in till the end of February. I then get a call from General Optical and some rude employee telling me based on my insurance I'm not eligible for a new eye exam till next year, then a new pair of glasses till 2024. I didn't have a problem with that, but it was the way the employee was talking to me like I was less then. I will never go back to them again, hello Americas Best in Grand Blanc, thanks for my new glasses

I been coming To General Optical for quite some time and within the last two years of me spending a lot of money on eyewear for me and my family has been nothing but the worst experience. The staff does not explain properly what you're paying for when you're thinking you're paying for one thing you're getting something else. If Zero was an option for a rating you would get that. I'm sorry but I will not be patronizing General Optical any more.

I've been going to this general optical since I was a kid. The last two times I've visited there it was horrible service and they were very rude except the guy doing the eye exams and when I got ready to decide which frames I wanted he just totaled everything out didn't discuss with me the price of what I was paying for it's like everyone there don't want to be bothered, but you're in the wrong field for that. So I'll probably be changing to somewhere different in the future...

I received glasses about 2 or 3 weeks ago tried to wear them for over a week straight. I can't see well out of them. My vision is doubled. I can't read upclose or far away. They even gave me headaches and made me vomit and feel dizy. Aslo when I did the original visit I had the smallest selection of eye glasses to pick from I have ever been offered through full medicaid. Very disappointing! I even paid out of pocket 50$ for these glasses and they are wrong. I called and told them my perception was wrong and I needed to be examed again. Went in for my appointment today and an eye doctor wouldn't see me and had a man who wasn't an eye doctor do nothing for me. Now I have to go in for a third visit and they can't get me in for over a month to do so. Very frustrating and I feel my time was wasted.

I went to Dr Vissor my whole life untill he retired and then I was a patient of Dr Moore SR, he was great and my eyes are a real challenge. I moved to Florida and Dr Moore retired. I couldn't find anyone in Florida to fit me correctly with gas perm contact lenses. I flew back to Flint and was treated awesome by Dr Davies and Dr Moore Jr. They are excellent Dr's and finally I can see. Thank you so much and I highly recommend General Optical!

had a snow emergency in my area with school closings with icy roads , called office as soon as they opened to reschedule as iam 2hrs away. was told id be charged 25.00 for cancel [wont be doing bussiness there anytime soon ] center road location
