I can't say enough about Riverfront Eye care. I was looking for an eye exam because my previous place canceled last minute. I called here and Benny was super nice and was able to get me an early morning appointment the following day. I'm super grateful, the staff was very welcoming and helpful Terri at the front desk was so kind. Dr Lane was very nice she helped me get all I needed for my contacts and address any questions I had about different brands so I was able to make the best decision on which one to use. Stevie was really helpful, I didn't mind the wait she was very attentive and let me know what my insurance covers and help me pick the right fit of glasses. Again, I really appreciate the staff here they're so welcoming if you're looking for a new eye care provider this is the place. I've already referred some family members. Thanks for all the help. The dr was nice, I liked the selection. It's been 30 days and no call that my glasses came in. I called the office a a man answered the phone. I asked if my glasses were in yet.He said yes ,that they came in last Friday. I asked why no one called,emailed or text me then. His reply was " NO one called you to let you know?" WTH does he think? THATS why I was calling.If someone called to tell me I wouldn't have called and ASKED HIM If they'd contacted me. It's New years eye day. I'll see if they are open. This has happened b4 with them. I've gotten wrong prescription b4 also. Their reply " just take them home and adjust to them". NO! I couldn't see clear enough to walk or drive wearing them. I knew they were waaaay off and I wasn't going to drive home 35 miles.Drive back 35 miles to drop them back off because they were wrong,drive home 35 miles. The drive there and back to pick the correct ones up! That's stupid. Someone actually ,then, checked the prescription and said WOW these are not even close. WHY NOT DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE instead of telling me to take them home and get used to them. Wouldn't you just check them like you just did! If I didn't refuse ,I'd be running. My friend had same issues. Took her 5 dang months and FIVE trips there. The person wrote the wrong rx on the eye glasses order slip. 4 times!!!!! Stupid. I'd be done the 2nd trip. I wonder if It's the same dizzy guy who answered the phone this last time I called. Duhhhh they didn't call you? No stupid,that's why I'm calling and asking.

Their selection of frames is always lacking. I usually just get my exam done here bc they accept GM insurance and offer free safety glasses... But now I just take the prescription info and go online for better looking options and quicker frames delivered directly to me. I don't even bother with the free safety glasses anymore because it's such a hassle getting through to anyone to schedule appointments or find out when my order is in. I was going to come back this year but after waiting on hold several minutes I'll go elsewhere regardless of them accepting my insurance.

Very, very friendly staff very wonderful people very very professional. I've not had one problem with getting my exams. It's been spot on. My Review from Riverfront Eyecare on March 13th, 2025. Called to schedule my appointment the Gentleman I was talking was nice, polite and very professional with the questions I had on my mind. Able to answer all my questions with no hesitation. Appointment day - Tammy... I believe was able to check in me and told me about the early opening hours on certain days (I work 3rd Shift hours). Dr. Lane was great with asking questions since my last visit, and asked extra questions I didn't think of. Made me feel at ease. After the distance test and 1 or 2 game, 5 or 6 comparisons. We got the eyes dialed in for some New glasses, finally met with Vicki oh she's a Small Bright Smile of Energy and was happy to help me with my everyday glasses and safety glasses. Ask for her very professional and listens. Overall, I was in at 9:30am and out by 11am. Support your local Union Business & Community...You can't buy everything off Amazon, not if you can't see...lol. Thank you, Ladies & Gentlemen of Riverfront Eyecare.

UPDATE BELOW I would rate this place even lower if I could! I was told my glasses would take 12 to 15 business days which I felt was excessive, I have had several calls to them about getting my glasses and they just tell me there is nothing they can do, as it is the labs fault. Now they are telling me it will be 1 more week which will make it 6 weeks. I was trying to support another UAW business but now I see that was a mistake. I have spread this message to as many UAW co-workers as I can to prevent them from the same experience i have had. NEVER GOING BACK THERE! UPDATE... Sherry the office manager reached out to me today, and she contacted the lab and gave me an explanation about what the problem has been along with an apology for all the issues I have had. I increased the rating by one star because of her professionalism. UPDATE #2 After Shelly Moore the office manager got involved things started to progress but she was still having issues with the lab, so a corporate manager, Chery Massa got things taken care of at the lab and got my glasses finished before my vacation. After all the issues they really took good care of me and kept me well informed.
