My son has been with this office for 3 years now and they never disappoint! They were extremely nice even fixed my broken glasses while he picked out his new frames! The ladies all smell good and have smiling faces! We always have a good overall experience! They have immediate answers for any questions and the DEALS are amazing! The folks at Grand Blanc Vison are amazing. A special shoutout to Dr. Markely, a consummate professional, a kind person and an excellent doctor. He is always willing to listen and take in information that may be relevant to the patient's eye health. He is also an excellent investigator of and offers solutions for complex vision issues. My daughter would not be as high achieving academically without his care. He diagnosed and recommended vision therapy for our daughter and it made 100% positive impact on her ability to see and learn. We are so thankful for his professional knowledge and care that helped address multiple complex issue with our daughter's vision. Finally, a shout out to Roxane, who is so knowledgeable about lenses and frames, advises on best options for each persons personal and professional needs and advises on hiw to best utilize insurance to acquire the best possible lenses and frames. My experience at Grand Blanc Vision was outstanding. The tech, Adriana, who took my preliminary vitals was delightful, Dr. Ewald was fantastic, and Roxanne was the best - best experience of my LIFE, picking out glasses. I still can't believe how awesome she was. Anyway, my experience was phenomenal and I'm glad they're my new eye doctor.

If I could give zero stars I would. The staff here is unprofessional. I ordered a pair of cateye glasses. When I went today to pick them up, the lady ordered me the wrong pair. She ordered a square frame. The complete opposite of what was agreed upon. She refused to listen to me and kept insisting that these were the glasses that I originally ordered. She did not care. She knew she made a mistake with the order. She proceeded to package the glasses &made a bullshit excuse that "if these are not the right glasses, warranty will cover it". Who says that?? Just admit you made a mistake with the order and correct your mistake.

TLDR: the staff was rude and mean to a TODDLER. My 3yr old needed an eye appt (the Dr at his 3 yr well visit had him look into a machine and said we might need to see an optometrist for a 2nd opinion but that she didn't think he needed glasses yet) So I called my insurance company for a list of in-network pediatric optometrists. GB Vision was on the list, so I called, specified he was freshly 3 and hadn't been to the eye Dr yet before I even made the appointment. Day of the appt comes. The staff is unprepared to help a toddler. The first woman that took us back to do the balloon test to measure his eyes was brand new and needed help, but the rest of the staff didn't want to help her. Someone did come and help but quickly left. She takes us to the next exam room, then another woman comes to redo the balloon test and she is so impatient with my son. Rushing him, making faces when he's taking too long to comply. No consideration for the fact he's 3, never seen these machines before in his life, and is being made to sit still and answer questions when he doesn't understand what's going on. Then, the Dr does her exam, insists he's doing great (I know he is, it's the staff that's the issue), she's the only one who seems to know how to work with kids. Then says he needs to do the balloon test a third time. He's bawling his eyes out and the woman is losing her patience with him. I'm starting to lose my patience, too, bc I want to remove him from the situation but I'm under the impression it's fully necessary. Also the pressure from the other adult in the room to "hurry up and get it done" when I'm trying to comfort my son and help him to be brave. Then the woman raises her voice at my kid, I feel like I'm about to blow up, the Dr opens the door and asks how I'm feeling. I'm honest about being frustrated, and she admits he didn't actually NEED to do the test a third time, it was "additional information" and she has everything she needs. So we leave. Probably won't be coming back for him or his dad who has been a patient there for a few years.

Grand Blanc Vision is great to deal with again. I was impressed last time and Dr. Markley and his crew are still awesome. Thanks for getting me in.
