Dr. Singh is amazing; always explains what going on and why.
Only 3 stars because the wait time is unacceptable. Appointment is at 8:30, arrival at 8:04, taken back for initial exam to be brought back to the waiting area to wait for the doctor.... 9am snd still waiting. I have a job I need to get to.
Highly recommend Dr. Singh but something needs to get fixed on the schedules.
I only rate 4 stars because of the 1.5 - 2 hour wait for just an exam. Appointment at 9:30, was called back at 10:30 just for eyes to dialated and scan of my eyes. Then taken back to the waiting room. To wait even longer for a room to open up.
The waiting room was packed, no where to sit, people had to stand while they were waiting. Had a very hard time finding a place even to park when arriving.
The staff is absolutely amazing, they are so polite. The timing and scheduling is absolutely horrible. Cram everyone on one day.
Surgery was scheduled for tomorrow morning (10/07/25) and they called me today (10/06/25), less than 24 hours before the surgery, to say I owe $500, and the surgery that I NEED won't happen without that payment. I was told that I needed to pay by tomorrow morning and I was treated as if I were behind on payments, but this is the first I'm hearing of it. They then started saying I have "about five minutes left" before they're done with me, after being incredibly hostile and rude and trying to strong-arm this money from me.
Sadly, I had to have emergency eye surgery and was sent directly from my eye doctor to the Retina Associates of Michigan in Grand Blanc. The front staff was very friendly, provided me with a mask and within a few moments, I was led into the back office for drops in my eyes for dilation purposes, an eye test and a review of my medical information. The staff wears black scrubs to prevent patients from getting white coat syndrome and thereby increasing patient's blood pressures. The first medical assistant to lead me to the back offices was very nice however, at no point was I provided with their names. I've been on three occasions and it would have made the medical assistants seem a bit friendlier had they introduced themselves and if they explained when they put the series of drops in my eyes what they were for so I could understand the procedures. After all, I was not expecting to have emergency eye surgery. I was then sent into a second office for an additional series of drops and tests that capture images of your eye. It would have been great to see the images to understand the issues with my eyes, but I understand that with timing and scheduling of patients that might not have been possible. Each time I've been into the second office, the technician has not been friendly. She seems gruff and irritated. When I was put into the third office for my eye surgery with Dr. Mehta, he was friendly, professional and explained exactly what was needed and how to move my eyes during surgery. Dr. Mehta performed surgery on both eyes at two different times. I would highly recommend Dr. Mehta. I felt that I had a problem in one eye so I returned to have it checked. On the third visit, I saw Dr. Singh as Dr. Mehta was in the Clarkston office. Dr. Singh was friendly, professional and gave me comfort that my eyes were healing and I was just seeing vitreous matter that would improve over time. The doctors are board certified and come highly recommended by other doctors and clients. Thank you for seeing me on an emergency basis and on subsequent visits and repairing my eyes! I'm so happy to be on the road to recovery!
Great office. Quickly got an appointment. Super friendly staff all the way through the process. They are very professional and thorough. I saw Dr. Sophie and he was great. High praise for this group!
Caring Dr's, excellent staff!! Friendly. Most important, Dr.Singh is excellent, kind but also VERY VERY good at what he does. Highly recommend him if you need any specialized eye care.
Doctor Singh is very knowledgeable and always willing to take time to listen and answer all questions . The staff at Retina Associates are friendly, patient, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant experience during every appointment.
My grandmother has been coming to Retina Associates to see Dr. Singh for 6+ years! From the old build to the new! Retina Associates have been amazing to my grandmother! They EDUCATE her, they LISTEN to her and CARE about her... I have been taking to her appointments when I can but when I can't make it to the appointment... it's nice to know that she is taken care of.
