Eye Care One

My daughter's been seeing the same eye doctor in Lakeview for a few years ,recently we found out she was not in my insurance network anymore. My daughter needed To see an eye doctor to rule out any optical reason that she'd be having Headaches 2 to 3 times a week. Her pediatrician had done any non-invasive tests to rule out any causes before going to expensive MRIs and CAT scans. She suggested an eye doctor take a look. She wasn't due for a basic eye exam for a few months. I spoke to reception staff about this and I spoke to the person who took her back for the exam. Reiterating this was for a medical reason, not a yearly eye exam . I was reassured that her test would be billed as a medical exam not an eye exam. ( multiple times). Not one time was, I told that if they couldn't find a medical reason?( Which how would I know before the exam?) That they were going to bill me , And there's absolutely no way they could've fought with my insurance to get this to go through since it wasn't even a week from the appointment till I got the bill in the mail. I promise you from experience that my previous eye doctor has spent hours dealing with insurance companies when something wasn't covered that should be covered. Not to mention the receptionist who called me to tell me it wasn't gonna be covered. Just acted like no big deal. I'm sorry it is a big deal. Some of us are struggling just to get through the month and if you know, something's not gonna be covered if there isn't a problem ( Again, how would I know that before the eye exam?) You should probably tell them!!!!

I had a great visit with Dr. Richardson! She was very friendly and had great, reassuring vibes. Everyone up front is kind and recommended some pairs they thought I'd like.

The staff there are really, really nice. I appreciate their positive attitudes. Dr Rocky Hansen is the best. He's knowledgeable and thorough along with being very friendly and compassionate. Thank you for a very positive experience.

Dr. Rocky & the staff at Eye Care 1 Greenville are all amazing people. I look forward to my yearly exam because it's always a warm & wonderful experience with everyone here.

Everyone at the office us very friendly to me which I greatly appreciate. I especially like Rocky Hansen. I've now been coming for years.

I like the doctors they are wonderful. The front desk staff is a little rude. I called to make the appointment and she questioned whether I even had insurance. I didn't have the card available. Mind you I have a large family so sometimes a card does go missing. I was able to provide the subscriber ID. When we came in to check in for our appointment, the gentleman at the desk told me he could not see me because I did not have insurance. I told him I did have insurance, but I did not have the card on me that I had provided the subscriber ID to which he replied "no, you did not." I told him that I supplied the subscriber ID when I called and made the appointment. He looked over his papers again and noticed it was there, but the insurance had not been run through yet for some reason. He asked if I could get a digital copy of the card to email to them so I tried to work on that while I was there, when we went to check out for our appointment it was the same issue. He realized that our insurance was not correct on the paper or some issue like that and he had to go ask a question. He was much nicer after realizing we did have insurance. This is no way to treat people, and I will probably be looking for somewhere else to go. I'm a single mother with 5 children and that is not the type of attitude I expect from anyone especially grown adults.
