From the friendly "Hello" when you step in the door to the warm "Thank you for choosing us" when you step out the door. Heather Peterson OD was excellent in her work and personality. PSA: If you have any underlying conditions that need specialized care Burgess is not going to be a good fit. Rather than be empathetic she will shame and humiliate a customer for specialists not prescribing what she deems fit. She will also threaten to blacklist you from all other professionals in the area if you (the client with no control over what the specialists decide) do not do what she thinks you should. I have never been so abhorrently treated by a medical professional. Using her lived experience to invalidate a client's situation is wildly inept. Please save yourself the trouble if you need anything outside of a basic eye exam. I am sure that I am not the only person she has mistreated and feel that people need to be made aware of the possibility of being abused by her.

Yesterday was my first visit to Eye Care One in Muskegon and it will be my place to go from now on. The staff was incredibly nice, professional and all around helpful. Dr. Burgess-Peterson made the trip and visit the best. I have been searching for a new optometrist since my one of 30 years retired several years ago. I have found her in Dr. Burgess-Peterson. She is professional, knowledgeable and truly compassionate.

This place was absolutely amazing for my kids! We had a bad experience in the past somewhere else with one of my toddlers. I love that the doctor here was able to explain what she was doing during the exam. Her attention to detail in my kids was phenomenal! What a great experience. My son never took to the glasses until we visited Eye Care One.
