I'm giving this review 2 stars overall - 5 stars for customer service but 1 star for delivery time. The positive: My eye exam at Forest Optometry was fantastic, and the staff provided excellent customer service throughout the process. The frustrating part: I placed my order for glasses and frames on 10/08, and it has now been 21days with no delivery. I've been given a tentative delivery date of November 3rd or 4th, which I hope will actually be met. Nearly a month's wait for eyeglasses is excessive and unlike anything I've experienced before at other optical shops. While I appreciate the quality of care during my appointment, the extended delay in receiving my order has been disappointing and disruptive. I hope Forest Optometry can improve their delivery timelines or set more realistic expectations upfront.

Forest Place Optical On a recommendation, I scheduled an appointment with Dave to find the best options for shooting glasses. Dave, Dr. Young, and the entire staff went above and beyond my expectations. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine customer care reflect a level of service that's hard to find these days. Highly recommended--thank you!

4/17/2025 After leaving my previous review, I received a call from Dave at Forest Optical. Dave is a former owner but still works there part time, and is an expert in fitting glasses. He offered to either find a solution to the problem or offered a full refund, and I opted for finding a resolution. I need the glasses and will give them another shot. He apologized profusely for my experience. There were several things at play that all snowballed into one very unfortunate customer experience and he couldn't apologize enough. I went in, he reshaped/sized my glasses several times until we got a decent fit. If they don't work out after wearing them a few more days, he will replace them for frames that will fit my head/ears better. For the sunglasses, he showed me how ill-fitting the frames I selected were for me and provided a few other options. They were double the price I paid and he said not to worry. They are making the lenses darker (the lady previously was misinformed), adding a mirror glaze, and completely replacing everything at no cost to me. Not only did Dave offer to make everything right financially, he also is willing to replace both pairs of glasses at no cost, regardless of the price of whatever I pick out. I am grateful for him reaching out and am excited to get my new glasses. Excellent customer service and I am very appreciative to Dave. -------------- 4/4/2025 5 stars for customer service and the staff's willingness to help. 0 stars for the $400+ worth of glasses I purchased that are complete garbage. TL/DR - Get your eye exam here but DO NOT buy glasses. Let me preface this by saying this is my first time getting glasses / needing a prescription. All other glasses purchased in my life have been drug store sunglasses. $30 or less. Never any issues. I purchased glasses in November. They arrived in December. I've brought them in 3x for adjustments as they either fall off my face, squeeze behind my ears causing pain, or both. After the 3rd adjustment, yesterday, they are still not right and there is nothing more they can do. So now I have $211 glasses that fall off my face and still squeeze behind my ears. Cool. I purchased sunglasses in January. I drive for a living and need sunglasses. The first pair is WAY too light. I am squinting while wearing the glasses. Mind you, I paid extra for polarization and coating and all the other things they suggested. I take them back, asking what my options are. They ordered different lenses (not polarized or coated, just slightly darker plastic lenses. No refund for the extra $$ spent on useless add-ons). There is no difference in the coverage - I am still having to squint while wearing these sunglasses, even on cloudy days. So, they order a 3rd set of lenses, they "are as dark as they can legally offer." They are barely a smidge darker that the first two and there is no other option. Every other $30 pair I have from the drugstore are darker and provide more coverage, however I now need the prescription. Basically, I am out of luck, sorry not sorry, nothing else we can do, and I spent $215 on sunglasses that are trash. So, I have 2 pairs of glasses that either don't fit or don't block the sun and I'm out $425. Staff tried to help but no actual resolution.

Caring, knowledgeable staff who are friendly and efficient. I would only go here for my glasses.

I have never experienced the kind of patience and support I received at Forest Place Optical. I continue to be amazed by Dave's tenacity in working with me to find the lenses that will give me the best result. I highly recommend Dave and Dr. Young along with their incredible staff.

I don't normally think of leaving reviews when I'm happy with a business, but being a small business myself, I appreciate all of my good reviews. So here it goes. I've been a customer at FPO for a few years now, and every visit has been a positive one. Everyone that I've dealt with has been friendly and answered all of my questions. The biggest plus is, I have never felt pressured into an up sell. I've tried other places and I don't foresee myself going anywhere else now.

High quality glasses. Great staff. Would recommend.

I have gone to Forest Place Optical for over 10 years because they provide such good care. They are helpful and Dr. Young is very thorough.
