Today was my first time seeing Dr. Van Elk. I was extremely anxious due to a sudden issue with my eye - he immediately put me at ease. He sat down and took time to listen to me (my worries and my symptoms) then explained in detail what he was going to do, took his time and conducted a very thorough examination and concluded with setting my mind at ease again, giving me information and answering my questions. He has a kind and patient chairside manner - I would definitely recommend him to anyone I know.
