Rudest medical staff I've ever encountered. Went in to get eye exams for my family. Was informed the doctor only wanted to do contact exam if I provided a brand and a fit from my old optometrist. My impression is he isn't willing/capable of preforming a full exam and would prefer to work off someone else's effort. My son has an existing eye injury and I was told that was "too medical" to handle for him as a doctor.

I was very impressed with Dr. Gilmartin. Not only did he correctly diagnose a problem I've been having for years (when an ophthalmologist and two other optometrists did not) but he provided me with a treatment plan that is helping a chronic condition. He was also able to provide me with better fitting contact lenses than previous doctors have. Dr. Gilmartin takes time to answer all questions, is informative and friendly. I highly recommend him and Grand Traverse Family Vision.

I brought in my 12 year old for an eye exam and was very impressed with Dr. Gilmartin. He was thorough and informative. He also was able to work us in the same day I called, which i really appreciated! Highly recommend!

My husband and I both scheduled appoints and were very pleased with the thoroughness of the exam and the willingness of the doctor to answer all questions. Prices are reasonable and scheduling was timely. We will definitely continue using this office for our optical needs.

Dr. Gilmartin provided an efficient, skillful exam, which was done with up-to-date equipment. I was very grateful for his warm manner and willingness to answer questions. The same-day visit scheduling at the Costco practice location was completely unexpected, and very helpful when I was struggling with a headache from an outdated prescription. The eyeglass prescription Dr. Gilmartin wrote was the most accurate I've received in years. His instructions helped me to better manage long-standing dry eye and allergy problems. At the end of our visit, I left feeling more confident about my vision health, and more prepared for the likely course of changes with age. I've worked with healthcare providers across a wide range of specialties for many years, and Dr. Gilmartin struck me as one of the best, for knowledge, thoroughness, and quality of patient interaction. I highly recommend his practice! Update: Dr. Gilmartin probably saved the vision in one of my husband's eyes. He found an obscure small retinal tear early enough that it could be immediately treated by an ophthalmologist. The ophthalmologist commented that it took a really good optometrist to spot the problem, so I'm very confident in Dr. Gilmartin's skills.

I did a walk in appointment & was so glad I could get in just a short wait later. My contact eye exam was very thorough, efficient & used up to date technology. Dr. Gilmartin was very professional & helpful for answering any of my questions or concerns. Highly recommend & definitely would go back here again!!

Dr. Gilmartin was incredibly informative and really gave me valuable information about my eye health and how to protect it. He answered all of my questions in detail. I did not expect that level of service and am pleasantly surprised.
