From the first consult to the final surgery, everyone was fantastic to deal with. I was well prepared for what to expect at each appointment every step along the way. They've refined a process that includes attention to the patient and our needs. Surgery days were so easy and results have been exactly what I was expecting. I would recommend Chu Institute to anyone asking!

I cannot say enough good things about the care I received at this surgery center. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, professional, and incredibly supportive. I was feeling quite fearful before my eye surgery, but the team truly listened to me and helped calm my nerves. They communicated every step thoroughly and provided excellent written materials to take home. The surgery went smoothly without complications. I felt respected and well-cared for throughout the entire process. Highly recommended!

Dr. Chu and his whole team were amazing and professional and very supportive in my entire journey throughout the process. I had my ICL surgery done at Chu Vision after being referred by my local ophthalmologist, and I could not say better things about this place. From start to finish, my entire experience was incredible. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and truly attentive, and Dr. Chu made me feel completely confident and cared for every step of the way. The process was smooth, the communication was clear, and I always felt like I was in the best hands possible. My results have been amazing, and I would recommend Chu Vision 1,000 times over to anyone considering vision correction. Truly a life-changing experience with an exceptional team!

It took me over a year to make the call and schedule a consult at the Chu Vision Institute due to anxiety and fear. My eye RX is -8.00. To put that into perspective -2.50 is considered legally blind without correction. I found out I'm not a candidate at this time for lens surgery and I am beyond ok with that as I feel I have everything to lose if something were to go wrong with the procedure . I would rather be safe than sorry and not have anything done at all. After I did all the tests I met Dr. Bunnell to go over the results. My only critique that has baffled me since is that Dr. Bunnell asked me WHY I wanted to have lens implant surgery to only respond with "well you're not a candidate at this time .." This procedure would obviously be life changing and it took a year to get up the courage to come in .. and like I said I'd rather be safe than sorry and I'm totally fine with not having it done . But could you imagine asking a patient coming in to consult for a life changing procedure of any kind whether it's a child who wasn't born with a fully formed limb and would like a prosthetic arm and you ask him " Well tell me Billy why would you like a prosthetic arm ??" And then shoot him down and say "well sorry you can't have one ." Or a woman who wants plastic surgery after undergoing a mastectomy and asking her why or a person whose face was damaged in an terrible accident who wants to have a self esteem again .. I doubt you would ask those patients why they want to have those life altering procedures done only to shoot them down.. Dr Bunnell knows I wear contacts and glasses . . It's not like it was asked to understand if a secondary solution could be advised .. She could have simply said " I know you want to have this procedure done but unfortunately you are not a candidate right now." And not make me explain myself just to shoot it down. I understand she needs to know for insurance purposes . I understand questions are asked to understand if the patients expectation is reasonable for specific medical procedures.. I understand patients are asked why they want to have anything life changing done to make them feel heard . There's many reasons why a Doctor would ask a patient why they want a procedure done. My first impression of Dr. Bunnell before knowing I was not a candidate was that she seemed jaded, overworked and annoyed. Simply doesn't not connect well with people. So it does make sense in hindsight that the question was asked right before just shooting it down.. - Tact and sensitivity can go a long way when building respect and rapport in the medical field no matter your personality type.

My experience was amazing. The staff was very friendly and on key with needed to get done. The communication was excellent from beginning to end. I enjoyed meeting Dr. Chu, his bedside manner was wonderful, first impression matters. I know your eyes are precious and putting my eyes in his care, I had no worries. I was guided every step of the way from the minute I entered into the building to my post op.If you're having doubts, no need to, you will be in good hands with Dr. Chu and his staff. I would highly recommend the Institute to anyone. Thank you to everyone for making this a very stress free and pleasant experience.

Dr Chu and his team are so nice and helpful. The first time I went to the office I didn't know what to expect. I had an eye test like no other I have ever had. The young man I had talked and listened. The second time my eyes were measured that gal answered all my questions so I could understand. We laughed and just had fun. The gals at the surgery center were also very caring and helpful. I am in the middle of my healing right now knowing if I have any questions I just need to call. I thank Dr Chu and his team very much, and I will see them again in three weeks.
