I had a wonderful experience working with Dr. Alisha Kamboj with my recent blepharoplasty and ptosis repair surgery. My results far exceeded my expectations.
I was so fortunate to have had my surgery performed by Dr. Kamboj. Not only does she have exceptional surgical skills but also has exceptional people skills and bedside manner. She took the time to answer my many questions in a respectful, kind and caring way. I felt her support before surgery and after surgery during my entire recovery. The quality of care she gives is amazing.
The day after my surgery, I received a phone call from her asking how I was doing and if I had any questions. I was impressed that she would take the time to call. She truly cares about her patients and makes a connection with them.
I appreciated the friendly staff and nurses at your clinic. A special thanks to Rachel, Dr. Kamboj's nurse ,who would take my calls and answer my questions. She was wonderful.
I would highly recommend Dr. Kamboj and your clinic. I had a great experience with great results.
Thank you to all of you who made this happen.
I scheduled a consultation for a much-needed blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) with Dr. Eric Nelson at MOPSS and was initially impressed with the front desk staff and medical team. However, in the scheduler's office, the tone changed completely. She was rude, scolded me for not having a physical insurance card (even though I had emailed it), and made sarcastic remarks about my insurance type (Blue Cross Blue Shield), saying, "Which one? BCBS of MN, government programs?" She also mentioned having four other patients who hadn't provided insurance information, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I left feeling targeted, profiled, and unsafe, and I will not be returning. This experience was completely uncalled for and does not reflect the clinic's stated mission of prioritizing patient comfort and respect.
I came in due a stubborn chalazion on my eyelid that wouldn't go away. I've been happy with my experience here. The PA, Isabel Sim-Campos, has been extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She has fully answered any question I've had. After some weeks of treatment, they determined it wasn't resolving itself, and the surgeon, Dr. Kamboj, worked with the PA to surgically remove it. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurses to the PA to the surgeon have been great to work with.
Dr Baker was amazing to work with on my eyelid surgery. I was getting to the point that they were sagging so much it was affecting my vision. The results after surgery were amazing - I can see so much more and if you look at me you'd never know I had the procedure done.
Very disappointing experience. I wish I could give zero stars. I visited for a simple eye surgery consultation (not insurance-related) and encountered one of the most uncomfortable and unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a doctor. Dr. Erickson was unable to answer basic questions, largely due to an extreme case of social awkwardness. Even the surgery scheduler acknowledged how strange the visit was and admitted none of my questions were addressed.
They recommended a completely different procedure than the one I came in for--one their office doesn't even perform, despite their website claiming otherwise. It was outsourced without any clear explanation.
No one disclosed what the consultation would cost. Then they billed my insurance, which only paid a small portion, and now I'm being charged $221 for a visit that provided no value. I also noticed a prior review mentioning a "money grab," and I have to agree. They billed $564 for what amounted to putting a patch over one eye, reading an eye chart, and moving to the next--all seemingly to see if I qualified for insurance coverage, which I had no intention of using.
Bottom line: I would never return or recommend this office to anyone. There are plenty of highly rated eye surgeons out there. When a provider is hovering around 3 stars, that's a red flag--don't ignore it. Look for someone with a solid reputation and better patient care.
As a retired plastic surgeon, I have a unique perspective on how difficult eyelid surgery can be due to do so many pre-existing asymmetries in the face, eyelids, and brows. Over the past 25+ years, I've referred numerous patients, including my wife, to Dr Harrison because he has both exceptional surgical and bedside skills. Most recently , he performed a procedure to adjust her eyelid asymmetry as a consequence of autoimmune disease. The results are awesome! I continue to HIGHLY recommend Dr Harrison for eyelid and brow surgery simply because he's the best in this very difficult specialty. We consider ourselves fortunate to have him as a surgeon. His entire office has been exceptionally great in providing care.
This office is a money grab.
First of all, I was told that my consultation fee would be applied to my surgery cost. That was a lie.
If you are looking for a resolution for treating festoons, I would not go to this office. After being told a lower bleph would help the appearance of my festoons (and I believed the recommendation, because I am not a doctor) my festoons looked even WORSE. After multiple emails reaching out to MOPPS, I was ignored and once I got a hold of someone, they told me to go 'do my own research'. What? Do my own research? I came to your office because you are supposed to be the experts. The picture posted is 15 months after my procedure I had at MOPPS and the morning before I had a different plastic surgeon who was able to treat the problem correctly.
Elective surgeries can often make patients feel as they don't have a voice because it was done at your own will. So if you want to avoid feeling vulnerable and ripped off, this may not be the office for you.
Dr.Harrison did the retouch surgery for my son's ptosis. This was this was the surgery to give him a new implant and make his eye symmetrical.
My son came out of surgery sobbing. When I asked about his pain, I was told they didn't want to over tax his liver. I know what that means now.
At the follow up Dr.Harrison acknowledged that there was not a change, he blamed the implant. He told me he would talk to the hospital about setting up the surgery.
I gave it time and called the office. I call and try to talk to the person in their office the schedules the surgery. "She'll call you back." She never does. I have called too many times and my son's issue being ignored.
My son was 9 years old when he went in for this surgery with Dr.Harrison. The kids at school always ask about his eye. He's tired of explaining it. Dr.Harrison showed us some before and afters of his work. Lots of pictures of old women, but the work looked great. He took time and care for them, but not so much for my son.
