I went to Dr Luetkemeyer for 2 months with an eye condition almost every week and it kept getting worse, he said it could take up to a year to heal. I took it upon myself because he would not refer me on to a specialist because I was being impatient. I went to a cornea specialist in Columbia and they told me to go immediately to MU because I did not have what Luetkemeyer said I had. That was 2 years ago and 2 cornea transplants later and looking at a 3rd transplant. I still can't see out of that eye. Might I have gone sooner instead of 4 months after my infection started because he still didn't want to transfer me after seeing the specialist, things could have been different.
