Complete Vision Care

My father got excellent care and advice from both Dr Mark Kahrhoff and Dr John Crane after a sudden onset of double vision. Both doctors responded quickly and generously to out-of-hours calls, helping us understand whether my father needed to seek more care urgently (he did not). Dr Kahrhoff then made a special trip in to the office to see my father out of hours and assess the situation and what to do next. My father had only been into their practice once before for a routine exam, but now they have a patient and customer for life - it was remarkable and we feel very lucky to have found them.

After suffering a traumatic brain injury in January I was referred to Dr Kahrhoff by the awesome people at SSM Day Institute due to issues with double vision. At a very scary and uncertain time in my life he and his team not only provided a safe place to be heard but excellent eye care. I truly appreciate his willingness to treat me as a whole person, not just as a pair of eyes. Thank you thank you to the entire team.

wonderful, patient with concerns, they work with insurance with ease, responsive and caring. Addressed all my concerns with professionalism and made sure my glasses were right. No waiting upon arrival, customer service should be a model for everyone. Sarah is easy to talk to and very understanding. I won't go anywhere near a chain provider, made that mistake once already.

Dr. Crane has by far been the best eye doctor I've had, and I have tried many. Even though his office is a long commute for me, it is worth it. He has so much expertise in dry eye and is the first doctor who explained it to me in a way that made sense. He makes himself accessible to answer questions via email and is very prompt and thorough in his replies. He has a variety of treatments for dry eye, both traditional and holistic and has been very open to exploring treatments outside of his current repertoire.

Very friendly staff. However, I've been waiting for almost six weeks on a warrantied repair. They seem ill-equipped to handle a customer service issue like this. They are not proactive--I have to call them every week to see if my lenses have arrived. Friendliness is great, but giving a good review because people are friendly seems unusual. All companies should have friendly employees. But how well do they perform when things go wrong? We are now looking for an alternative eye care company, even though our family of five have been loyal customers for many years. They've lost my confidence.
